Oh yea ENB effects are very subjective! What looks great to me looks like hippo-poop to someone else
Best thing is to use a preset as a jump-off point to tweak until you get an effect you like. The effect I have is deliberate. I wanted an unrealistic fantasy-look...kind of trying to replicate TERA or something!
I dont know about scripted mods...interesting! Can u post a link to one? I just whack my entire Skyrim data folder on an external HD just in case...along with the game saves. But Steam has a v good backup function too!
It did remind me a little bit of Rift's art style, but too vibrant for Skyrim as a province I thought
and I just googled TERA because I'd never heard of it and with all those 3d rendered boobies I felt like I was 13 again
haha.
I'm trying to think of the most heavily scripted Skyrim mod, SkyUI was the first one to take advantage of the script extender by tweaking the engine, but it isn't game breaking if you don't use the SKSE. Most of the big name mods like WARZONES and SkyUI have failsafes incase you launch via the TES.exe and not SKSE.exe so no damage is done, its the smaller less endorsed files that are dangerous.
For the most heavily scripted one though I think you'd have to look at
DSpSoB - Dual Sheaths plus Shields on Back (creative name huh
) and
The Dance of Death killmove pack/mod. Backup before using those though, one tiniest little file in the wrong folder and you'll be nuking Skyrim off your machine and reinstalling.
EDIT: I think I've found the craziest one!
The Flintlock Pistol! I think its a decent mod tbh, it doesn't really break immersion or lore and suits the game quite well, the Dwemer could have easily invented something like this.
Also, I'd highly recommend getting the
Craftable Dragonbone Weaponry mod, as it basically should have been in the game from the start in my opinion.
Another great one is the
Dread Knight's Weaponry mod.
This is something that should have been in the game from day one too:
Greatsword Scabbard Mod.
I also think the
Weapon Variation Mod is really cool too, basically it adds a whole ton of weapons and shields to the game, and what it does is basically add one handed weapons with the look of the two handed weapons and vice versa, with some resized shields, they don't replace anything at all, they just appear in some loot, on some enemies and dotted around the world, my personal favorite! Nothing complicated is required, just install with the Mod Manager, same with all the weapon packs.
Oh, and if you want all of the weapon packs you download to properly integrate into the game, and appear properly on enemies depending on level (so you won't have any Bandit's running around with 500 damage swords at level two
) you'll have to use
Wyre Bash. It's simple enough to use mate, and if you don't really wanna bother using yet another 3rd-party program to sort out mods, you can play without doing this, you might just get turned into red mist by some low level Bandit.
Also, if you haven't already, use
Better Oblivion Sorting Software (B.O.S.S) to properly order your esp and esm files to avoid mod conflicts and speed up loading times. Extremely easy to use mate, just one click and it does it all for you, and gives you a log afterwards explaining whats happened.
