Help!

Have just done a fresh install of Skyrim from Steam and then spent hours downloading and installing the Total Enhancement Project mods.

Ifollowed it exactly but my character can't move using mouse/keyboard and 360 pad.

I started a new game and both thumbsticks work on the loading screen to move and spin the objects. However after completing character creation I cannot move! The right thumbstick still works to look around and I can access the menu (though I can't use LT and RT to navigate the menu). I have extensively googled this issue and cannot find a solution.

Has anyone else had this issue or have an idea which mod from STEP may have caused it? I really don't want to have to reinstall the game and all the mods. I could disable each mod in turn to find the culprit but tbh I don't have the time at the moment so thought I would ask here first.

Any help would be massively appreciated so the hours I have spent installing won't be wasted!

Try deleting your ini files then running the config again.

Thanks, have tried that but no joy.

Decided to just delete everything and start again though still having issues now. I uninstalled Skyrim through Steam, manually deleted the folder in my documents containing saves and prefs. I also manually removed the Skyrim folder in Steam as well as the mod files.

Reinstalled and now getting a flickering menu screen and still cant move!

right i have almost got the game just how i want it but the far of textures look horrible still.

i have used the far away texture mods and even increased ugrids to load to 9, however some peeps ones look far more textured in the distance than mine :(

to clarify, im on the hill just past riverwood and looking down on whiterun, all the textures are not nice and the water is bright blue and whiterun itself looks very blocky.

i have seen screens on here where that view looks much better :(

Post up a screeny of your problem.

Can someone explain Wyre Bash to me? The whole interface just confuses me. In fact the whole concept of it confuses me. What is the point in it? In what situation would you want to merge mods together using it? Once you merge mods into this "bashed patch" can you delete the original mods? What happens if you need to update the mod? ahhhhh :(

This is a screenshot from about 30 pages past and while it doesnt show my problem is shows how that looks "ok" in terms of the far off textures.

I have the enhanced far off terrain mod but both the land, water and whiterun look really blocky.

anyone know what causes the every 30 mins crash?

been googling it and it appears to be a widespread issue.

almost religiously the game will crash after 20 to 30 mins straight to desktop.......its really peeving me off as i think i have now perfected my mods :D

EDIT - Seems to occur when bloody steam starts doing something like trying to sync the game
