The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim - MODS & TWEAKS

It is when you're given confusing, incorrect and out of date information.

Here's what I am going to do.

1. DL all mods onto d drive.

2. Place all empty mod folders on c drive, where STEAM is.

3. Extract all RAR files on d and then moves required mod folders such as textures into folder on c drive. This is after applying the Besthesda DLC text update. The read me's said nothing about ONLY having textures in the mod folder, just that they contain textures, which they did. So this time i'm keeping the RAR files and the destination mod folder seperate.

4. Run batch file.

Is this correct?

I don't really want to bother with NNM at this stage as it is just something else to wrong.

Firstly I cannot recommend enough how useful using Nexus Mod Manager is so I strongly suggest you use this.

Secondly regarding the readme file each destination folder has a readme file in and you need to read what each one says individually.

Like I have mentioned before please feel free to use my already combined file which I have hosted, which includes all the major graphic enhancements.

1 Download TPC
2 Download the 3 required mods
3 Extract the meshes folders from the mods to the relevant TPC folders (merge when asked)
4 When you have all the texture folders in TPC folders run the batch file - wait.
5 You will then have a combined file this need converting to .7z file - use 7zip and add the file to archive ( store compression ).
6 You will then have the files in a 7z format import into NMM and enable the file - done.

So just to be clear, all i have to do is paste the files into my installation folder?

If you are talking about the file that i hosted, extract the folder from the 7 rar files and then add it back into 1 single rar file.

Load up Nexus Mod Manager and selelect the folder location from the link at the top and copy/cut and paste the rar file into there.

Then exit Nexus Mod Manager and re load it back up again so it can refresh, click on the Mods tab and locate the rar file (should be in the top category) and run the mod by clicking the puzzle icon on the left hand side making sure to hit "Yes to All' when prompted.

Now assuming you have already installed the Bethesda Optimized mod that i linked to earlier you are good to go.

Hey guys

After 180 hours in game, Starting to get a little disenchanted with the repetition of most things

any one got any juicy mods that might re-juvenate things a little
This is what I am running with at the moment

Been playing the game for a long time now and just tryed out Skyre for the first time and it realy changes the game in a good way :)

Here is my load order and 2 screenshots

Main mods for me are Realistic Lighting Overhaul, Climates of Tamriel and Skyre. They cover the weather, lighting and game play. A few other things to help the game look better as i only got 1 gig graphics memory and a duel core but it runs great :)

One thing I would like to know....

How do you decide what needs to be loaded before what. I use Boss, but still need to tweak it a bit because I get the odd ctd every 3 days or so (real time, not game time)

what's the rule? Does anyone know?

The STEP mod looks great, but even with the walkthrough they provide, it looks like an all day job.

What is everybodys experience of installing the mod?

I suppose it would be super nice if somebody stuck all the mods required into one big massive folder available to download.

Man, im lazy..

Ah thanks dude.

Thats the files for the Texture Pack Combiner if I am reading your posts correctly.

Is that essentially the same visual look as STEP?

I will give it a go regardless, thanks for the effort.

Yeah it is, i have about 60 mods in total all combined.

You will need to install the Bethesda Optimized mod which i have linked too.

Yeah i also have some screen shots that i took on my sky drive too so check them out as well.

It took me about 5 hours to go through the list and download all of the mods.

When I downloaded them, I named them "1F-02-insertsillymodnamehere" - then when dragging/dropping them into Wrye Bash, I could easily re-order them into the correct order.

Actually installing the mods (and cleaning any with TES5Edit that BOSS said needed cleaning) took about half an hour.

Thanks, at last, I think its working.

It's in NMM as TPC 7G - I moved it to 'overhauls' though I don't suppose it matters.

Do you have a list of the mods contained within your file? - That way I can look at adding ones you left out, or adding new ones.

Thanks, I think I have most of those. I also got an ENB mod in the mix. It says 'No SSAO' on the load up screen, this is to do with the ENB, do you know how I could get this enabled?

I wonder if it is a some setting on my gpu?

Yeah i am so pleased with the performance too, i am getting between 80-100 fps all the time, which is good.

Do yourself a favor mate and put Vsync back on, or cap it manually to 60. The one time I let Skyrim go above 60fps I ended up getting taken out by a flying loaf of bread. :D
