The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim - MODS & TWEAKS

Ok well its the morning now here in Aus, so i will have a look tonight and see if there is somewhere i can upload it.

Note if you use torrents it can be had from there.

See below link for magnet to the file.

Cheers, I've got the other required mods, and I've got over half of the others downloaded.

I never thought about searching for a torrent! - that's D/L'ing now.

Should be good to go sometime tomorrow, i've got a clean install. I'm assuming you just extract the rar's into their folders (I'll save the rars in another folder just in case I need them again) and run the batch file, then run SKYRIM from STEAM?

I imagine this has been done to death here but this thread is huge..

I want to play Skyrim for the first time and was wondering if there was a list of basic mods id need to improve my experience from the start. Visual/gameplay mods.

Yeah using that download off the Nexus page i linked you you extract all of the Rar files you have chosen into their respective folder making sure to read the readme.txt in each folder as some of the destinations require .esp files and meshes too. Once you have done all of the extracting run the batch file and it will combine the whole lot into one file. Then all you do is add the listed files into a Rar file and drop it into the Nexus mod manager folder. Load up Nexus mod manager and install/run the mod choosing "Yes to all" when prompted and it will install all of the mods for you.

As far as i know you can just run it from steam but i always run it from Nexus just incase it missing some of the installed mods but im almost sure it doesnt make any difference.

Hi i have a combined file of roughly 60 of the best graphical mods for the game which is roughly 7gb if you can find me somewhere to upload it for you, i will leave my computer on overnight and do that. All you would have to do then is run the mod from Nexus mod manager and it will install all of them automatically for you and then start playing.

Let me know if you want me to do this?

Thats a really nice offer mate. If I knew somewhere you could upload them to I would say. But im pretty noobish when it comes to online storage etc :(

appreciate that though mate.

No worries at all mate, it seems a common issue as there are so many mods that need to be applied to get the most out of the graphics in my opinion.

I have some screenshots of my game that i will post later today for you to see too.

I shall look into getting the combined file hosted/seeded somewhere.

demon8991, why don't you seed a torrent and post the link here, i'll be another one to download it and seed it a while

Sounds like a plan I shall look into getting something done tonight when im back from work and post the link in here.

Sorry but I have no idea what this means.

After I ran the batch, I got a combined folder - what am I supposed to do with it? (ALSO ACCORDING THE TXT there's loads of files missing, from mods I downloaded and extracted, how can there be?

Theres a link on the TPC page for a utility that will do it all for you https://code.google.com/p/skyrim-tpc/ . Put this inside the TPC folder and run it and it will even download the mods for you :)

Thanks.

I followed the instruction earlier and copied the 'batched' folder in SKYRIM data, as I said according to the txt file many files were missing this was confirmed when I watched the batch file, 'file missing' etc many times.

Loaded up SKYRIM and could tell no difference from vanilla, loaded up the app you suggested, and it 2-3 minor mods as ready to DL, perhaps they did not work for some reason? - and one of the major required ones was avaialble to download, he HD one, that might explain the vailla exp. forst time round/

I'm now dl-ing the four parts dungeon, towns, misc and landscape - gonna take about an hour though.

Will report back.

Can anyone give me a roundup of Dragonborn? Map size? New assets (i.e crossbow in Dawnguard)? New armors? New weapons? What regions of Morrowind is here? How much of TES III is accessible? New artifacts (Keening, Sunder etc.)? What content from Solstheim is here?

Everything!!

:p

Is it unrealistic to expect this to be Skywind 0.5?

None of it is working it's all still vanilla. The TPC utility doesn't even think i have the required HD mod, keeps asking me to download it. I have downloaded it all twice.

I knew this would be too complicated.

When I click data files on the SKYRIM laucher it just shows the texture patches from the vanilla game ticked, and then unticked some old mods from before.

Firstly did you read each individual read me in all of the destination folders which explains which folders need to be extracted? Please note there will be missing files from mods you havent downloaded as it lists them all.

To put the file into Nexus load it up and click on the folder location button at the top and drop the Rar file in there. Then exit Nexus and reload it up again and from within Nexus click on the Mod tab and locate the name of the folder you just copied and then Press the puzzle icon on the left to run/extract the mod making sure to select "Yes to All" when prompted.

Ok to get this working guys you will need to download the Bethesda Hi Res Optimized mod first. (see nexus mod manager link below)

nxm://Skyrim/mods/9080/files/1000008552

I have separated the 4.77gb compressed file into 7 files of 700mb on my Skydrive (as the limit is 2gb a file). So you will need to download all of the files and using Winrar extract the contents of them to your desktop. Then just add it to a single Rar file and then follow the instructions in my reply to Darujhistan above to get it working and then you are done. See the below link to my shared Skyrim folder on my Skydrive. I have added a Screenshots folder too so you can look at them to see what kind of visuals the mods are giving. Let me know if it all works ok. (Please note 2 of the files are still uploading and will be done in the next hour or two).

Using tpc is not difficult.

download the required mods and extract them to 1 folder each eg Skyrim 2k , SRO , SHD.

Download TPC and extract the texture files to the relevant folders (merging when asked).

Run the batch file and wait.

Using 7zip or similar add the combined file to archive using store compression.

Add to NMM. the file should be around 5.41GB

As already mentioned install the Bethesda High Res dlc fix mod first (currently at version 2) the let the combined file overwrite everthing it wants to.

It is when you're given confusing, incorrect and out of date information.

Here's what I am going to do.

1. DL all mods onto d drive.

2. Place all empty mod folders on c drive, where STEAM is.

3. Extract all RAR files on d and then moves required mod folders such as textures into folder on c drive. This is after applying the Besthesda DLC text update. The read me's said nothing about ONLY having textures in the mod folder, just that they contain textures, which they did. So this time i'm keeping the RAR files and the destination mod folder seperate.

4. Run batch file.

Is this correct?

I don't really want to bother with NNM at this stage as it is just something else to wrong.

Do you mean http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/9080 ? The link above isn't working

Downloading now :)

The info im giving is not confusing , also using NMM would make it a lot easier for you.

And as for out of date I only updated my file last week using the method I explained in my previous post and it works beautifully.
