The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim - MODS & TWEAKS

Im not entirely sure if texture mods are working with mine, the Load loose files doesn't seem to stick nor does adding the binvalidateolderfiles=1 seemingly.

Sigh. :(

Might try out the mod manager i guess.
Edit: Hmm what should i do about this update.esm?
i didnt need to add any lines anywhere to load loose textures on mine.

try my starwars moon mod and see if it works as its really obvious if it is or isnt.

btw you are putting them in the right place?
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\skyrim\Data\textures\landscape\roads

etc

btw on the launcher i never clicked "data files" and then ticked load "loose files" just dropping them where they should be and never doing anything else worked

Well seems to work i guess, i must just not notice the ore mod enough.

Also seemingly since i did go into data files before and clicked ok, my game has been running without the Update.esm, i noticed when i turned on the mod manager.

Should i just activate it and continue or restart the game?

(not far into it, new character...just the usual pain of restarting is annoying frankly)

Just tried this and I must say the results are great. I've not tried the other FXAA mods, but this is just splendid.

So far using the following:
- FXAA Injector Custom Settings-More Colourful and Realistic w by superdinoman
- No more blocky faces
- Glowing Ore Veins

How do you install "FXAA Injector Custom Settings" as there's no instructions on the nexus mod website like there usually is for all other mods I've installed so far.

I've installed other mods and I know to extract them to the game folder or other folders within the game folder but which actual folder do these files need to go to for this specific mod?

Thanks in advance.

put it in the same location as the games exe

Just disable D3Doverdrive, afterburner isn't causing it...

Why it's doing it now I have no idea, could be mod related

I don't need Afterburner running in the background anyway, was disabling it for Skyrim since some other DLLs could crash with it enabled.

BTW, it's possible to use both the ENB Series patch and the FXAA Injector mod if you edit the enbseries.ini file.

Neil79 I think you should also add these two lines of code to the main post for tweaks:

Tweaks:
"set timescale to x" example = set timescale to 8 (1 hour = 20 in-game hours)

and

"player.forceav carryweight xxxx" example = player.forceav carryweight 5000. I can confirm this one works, I also tried two other codes for this previously which were "player.setav carryweight x" and "player.modav carryweight", they both worked in-game but once you quit out and logged back in they no longer worked, so "player.forceav carryweight xxxx" is the only code that actually works and sticks.

I've seen a lot of people ask for both of these codes in the offical thread and this one including me.

Also I got this information from other users, so thanks goes to them! :D

See my previous posts, I use them all and they do improve textures in a good way.

Whether you'll like them or not is a personal preference I guess.

There's nothing better than that afaik.

The Whiterun retexture is alright, all i have really noticed of it is dirt floors in most places where they were stone, too early for texture packs imo. HD futniture is worth it, Armour one isn't tbh.

There's a good number of comparison screenshots in the Whiterun Texture Pack and there are differences, more or less subtle ones.

Trying out the water mod now, hopefully the improvement is noticeable.

The armour pack is strange, I agree that it might not be worth it just yet.
