The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim - MODS & TWEAKS

They are all WIP's atm really, the problem is that LOADS of people are rushing mods out so that they can be the first ones and many people are creating texture mods that don't really add much atm.

In the end, the quality mods will take time, after the dev kit is released. DarnUI will be the best UI mod, NMC will release the best texture pack, ENB will make it look amazing, Vurt will sort out the trees etc. the guys behind the FO3/NV gameplay tweaks will no doubt release something as well. Plus there will probably be an MMM as well.

I am slightly hesitant of some of the mods around atm, some are great of course, but time will bring us the real quality improvements.

TBH, i can't really think of many areas that really need modding barring textures and UI

Would it be possible for a sun beam mod to be made for this game? Like in Stalker COP, where in the early morning sun beams are cast through trees and windows. This game would look amazing with this.

I find updating mods tricky with the mod manager - I tell it to download the mod, overwrite the existing files, but it doesn't tick the box, even though it says the mod has been activated. Same problem when I try to delete an old version of the mod before installing a new one.

I just downloaded Nexus Mod Manager(even though i probably won't use it) and it lists update.esm, is that the day1 patch? because it doesn't show up in data files in the Skyrim launcher.

Also i can't find a readme or anything, has anyone got a link for one? I assume you have to run Skyrim through it but it doesn't say it anywhere.

QD inventory looks like it needs a bit of polishing, but is heading in the right direction. Good to see the inventory seems to be fixable. Why they never included a bit of additional information on the lists (armour, weight, value etc) is beyond me.

On the main page it says
Tweaks:
"set timescale to x" example = set timescale to 8 (1 hour = 20 in-game hours)

Is that right? Doesnt that set it to 1hr=8 in-game hours?

I'm looking to install the 'FXAA' and 'Antialias and Sharpen Effect' mods and from what I understand, they both need installing directly into '..\Steam\steamapps\common\skyrim'.

However, both mods contain a 'shader.fx' and a 'd3d9.dll' file, so one would be overwritten by the other.

As a novice, I'm stuck. Could someone kindly explain :)
