When I come out of the game it said my system had run out of memory again and ENB something or other had stopped working. The GPU monitor showed usage never went above 2gb and this card has 3gb. System has loads of spare memory, about 5gb, so not sure what's wrong there.

The FPS was better though, averaging 30-40fps outside and 50-60 indoors most cases :)

I use these, and they have improved performance massively, and I never get a crash with hundreds of mods-

The start-up memory one is basically what you are trying to do with SKSE I think, but less fiddly.

Don't mess with Ugrids. IMO, it really isn't worth the hassle. Gopher does a good vid which explains the start-up memory thing and why Ugrids is tricky.

This Safety Load says to install "drop the data folder in your skyrim directory"

How can you do that when there's already a big and very important data folder in there? Are you supposed to overwrite it? :confused:

CTD Memory patch and ENB memory boost has boosted my FPS to 100+ and the game now looks like I never made a single mod, looks like it's basically reset everything and disabled ENB.

I saved the enblocal.ini file I had incase things went wrong, which they did. But now I've gone to my back up and it's disappeared, it's not even in the recycle bin, it's just vanished. So I'm properly screwed now, think I might shelve this for another 12 months lol.

Yes, whenever it says to put in your data folder, just overwrite...hlaf the time it is probably just a readme it is overwriting anyway, or textures.

Do you mean your ENB isn't working? or textures as well?

That cannot be right, the Data folder in my Skyrim directory is 15.5gb in size with over 4,000 files. This Data folder is basically just a safety.dll file at 56kb in size?

ENB is not working, textures, nothing, it basically looks like the default game.

Then it will just add the file, and overwrite nothing. Don't worry, it will not overwrite the folder with 1 file!


ENB is not working, textures, nothing, it basically looks like the default game.

1. Check that all of the textures are in your data folder
2. start the game and see if there is a message saying something along the lines of 'speedhack' at the top of the screen.

Yes everything is in the data folder. I just ran the game 5 mins earlier and everything was working.

Now when I load it says Speedhack ENBoost turned on in enblocal.ini, graphic modification disabled in red.
 
Go in to enblocal and change UsePatchSpeedhackWithoutGraphics=true to false.

That should make the ENB work again.

I have no idea about your graphics mods tbh...I think that maybe they are working, it is just the ENB off makes it look bad again?
 
Great. Just a few notes-

1.ENBOOST basically just replaces your enblocal.ini, so any changes you made to that earlier will have been overwritten, so will need to be done again.
2. If you get a crash when looting, or opening an inventory, don't worry...It is an issue with safety load, with a very easy fix.
 
Hi chong, if i remember right you should not change your ugrids downwards unless your starting a new game as it will crash to desktop on loading a save game as its in the save data. Change your uGridsToLoad=7 and uExterior Cell Buffer=64 and it will load up again.

Dont use skse memory tweaks and SSE memory tweaks together, use one or the other. I use SKSE and SSME and it works fine :)
 
I have just started playing Skyrim again and i get a lag when i shoot arrows. This is with and without any mods. I thought it was caused by the vsync but enabled with 60htz and 144htz its the same. Any ideas?

spec: i7 3770k (oveclocked), R9 290, 16GB.
 
Right. I have just deleted Skyrim from my HDD....I have to play some of the other games I have!

^Beerbaron, It isn't an issue I know of, but there are various arrow tweaks, and mods that make archery more accurate and stuff that you might look at. Pretty the tweaks are in the OP.
 
Its not just arrows. The game has a lag as well. I can fire arrows or wait for a sequence to start and nothing will happen until access the inventory or press escape. I can fire 10 arrows as someone and nothing will happen. As soon as I press 'i' and then exit the inventory all 10 will fire at once.

and thanks to a new version of Remodeled Armor for CBBE Bodyslide and BBP my girls are back to a normal chest size and should make Uncle Rufus smile :D

I have fx8350 and a 670gtx

Please recommend me minimal amount of mods for Brest textures and realistic lighting is darker nights/dungeons.

Be fastest than me trying to analyse this massive thread.
