The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim - MODS & TWEAKS

So with all the mods I have installed the game is working, but the graphics are still unimpressive to me. It looks better than the vanilla game but so far not great. Maybe there is other mods to make it look better than it is.

Even with mods, bear in mind it's a 3 year old game. The graphics are still amazing for the scope and scale of the world it creates.

You know you are playing Skyrim too much when you have very vivid dreams of being able to cast spells and shout. I literally had about three instances in my dream where I was doing the shout, and it was so detailed I can remember the voice, except it wasn't big and boomy like in Skyrim, it was my normal voice just shouting as loud as I could. The funniest thing was that there was about a 2 second delay pause from when the shout reached someone (all had faces of my various friends) to when they felt the affects of it and it pushed them out of the way.

I need a week off... :o

:mad::mad:

Interiors are too dark, well ok the Vampire Castle. I've tried adjusting these and it's made no difference in my enb

AmbientLightingIntensityInteriorDay=2.0
AmbientLightingIntensityInteriorNight=1.50

guys I might have just remembered something I did to get my crossfire working 100% and have perfect DOF and constant 60fps godliness everywhere. Give it a go, hopefully it was your missing piece to the puzzle

I renamed my TES5.exe to Fear.exe

Then in Data/SKSE I made a change to my SKSE.ini config. I put this in "[Loader]
RuntimeName=Fear.exe"

then launch the game via the skse_loader and voila

I HOPE MATSON SEES THIS LOL

I can't find a TES5.exe file... unless you meaning TESV as in Skyrim's .exe file ?? Was playing it with MSI Afterburner open (before I saw posts in here that it might give conflicts) and saw my 2nd GFX card was doing nothing.. lol

So was looking at the above post but unsure if it is the right file I should change the name on, did a mess up yesterday while trying to add the mod's in the first post and had to reinstall everything and would prefer not doing that again.. to time consuming. :o

And I presume it is in the small .ini file that TheReaperGuy ensure is created at the beginning so be added to this:

Code:
[General]
ClearInvalidRegistrations=1

[Memory]
DefaultHeapInitialAllocMB=768
ScrapHeapSizeMB=256

[Loader]
RuntimeName=Fear.exe

So it would look like the above ?? Sorry for asking what probally is very n00bish questions. :o

I must be doing something wrong. :confused: :o .. Changed the TESV.exe file to Fear.exe and then added the [Loader] in the .ini file as well. But when I try to start the Mod Organizer now I get this:
No game identified in "E:\Games\Steam\SteamApps\common\Skyrim". The directory is required to contain the game binary and its launcher.

I probably missing something simple but since this is all new to me must admit it fells a bit frustrating as well, just want to utilize my crossfire if possible. :(

I had that years ago when my mate bought me CnC Generals. We played it for hours and I remember going to bed dreaming about still playing the game. It was so detailed I remember making what seemed like conscious decisions and tactics in my sleep. Bizarre!

MO would be looking for TESV.exe if you're starting it with that as the selection.
Are you selecting the SKSE launcher in MO?

When I did it I had closed down the MO, when trying to start it to launch the game from the MO it gave me that thing about no game identified. When I tried to just start game from skse_loader.exe in the Skyrim folder it told me couldn't find TESV.exe of course. Not sure how to change the skse_loader though, to be pointed at the renamed .exe file.

Obviously want to be able to continue using MO since not done with your suggested mod's from the first page, at stage 8 for now so still some more to do and maybe find other mod's to be used after.

Was hoping this "fix" for crossfire would be easy but seems I'm over my head with this one. :(

But since you and others have it all working I must be doing something wrong here. lol (I just can't figure out what it is. :o )

With the [LOADER] being set in the SKSE config file it should find it without a problem.
Double check the /data/SKSE.ini file to make sure [LOADER] is set correctly.

I have Nvidia GPU's so I'm fortunate enough to not have to do that fix.
But it sounds like it should be working for you.

Well the SKSE.ini file is in /Steam/SteamApps/common/Skyrim/Data/SKSE and was like above:

Code:
[General]
ClearInvalidRegistrations=1

[Memory]
DefaultHeapInitialAllocMB=768
ScrapHeapSizeMB=256

[Loader]
RuntimeName=Fear.exe

Also, if leaving MO running and clicking to start SKSE it gives an error can't find game but then starts (vanilla I guessing, I exit when got the menu options) but, it also gives me an Error message in MO, saying the order seems to be wrong (clicking "Sort" fixes that though after redoing the changes).

Not sure if that helps much though. :confused:
