The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim - MODS & TWEAKS

I realised today that I am in dire need of a PC upgrade. It's been a good year or so since I played Skyrim and was able to mod it pretty heavily. Having just spent around 12 hours or so getting all my mods installed and making sure the game is stable, I am getting a lovely 12 FPS outside of town.

I guess my trusty 6950 is overdue an upgrade anyway... On the bright side, I installed over 100 mods in one go and didn't CTD on loading!

Hmm. I'm on a 6870 running 6 or so mods. The main ones like static wireframe and purewater etc and go to large outside areas with completely smooth running. I'm on an i7 too if that's any different to you

If using an ENB, turn them both off in Skyrim Launcher and set to application preference in nvidia control panel, I believe.

As for AO, SHIFT+ENTER in game, turn it off in settings and apply-save

Does turning off in Skyrim launcher change the ini files? I'm using MO so do I have to open the launcher with MO?

If you want deeper blacks and shadows in your ENB instead of AO, turn off bloom! Looks so much better, never liked bloom in other games either :D

Just been listening to the new music/soundtrack to Skyrim that I've added to op, it's just lovely. I end up sitting in the grass listening to it :)

QUESTION : Is there a way to back up all these mod zips from mod manager in the same categories without having to download them again?

Can't say I am 100% about this but if you go to Mod Organizer/mods then in that folder you have all your downloaded mods and the couple I checked with Nexus and their ZIP content preview it seem to be exactly the same, so my guess would be if you take a copy of that folder then you have all your mods backed up. That is if you using Mod Organizer that is ?

And if you do, there is also an option to create an backup of your mod files if you so wish. Its a lilttle square button to the right of your profile selection bar.

Hope that helps. :)

Edit: Also come remember that if you check Mod Organizer/downloads then in that folder you have all the downloaded zip files as well, if you prefer them already zipped up. Since in the mod file they are unzipped already.

Good time to switch to MO Neil, the functionality of MO is fantastic.
Plus keeps your Skyrim folder vanilla - ENB.

But as Swede said, you should just need to backup your /mod folder, does NMM use a download folder as that is technically a backup.

Well I just found my new ENB, after testing all of them :(

Serenity ENB GEN12.5

<SNIP>

I'm trying to install Serenity. I'm following the install instructions, and when I get to this part :

When that is done visit ENB download page HERE and get the latest Binary.

But where is the link to download? All I see is Google Ad click-bait spam.

Bored, so giving Seasons of Skyrim ENB a try :)

Using the data files, extreme performance, optional sharpen and DOF in settings :D
