The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim - MODS & TWEAKS

When i was looking for ENB before i started playing skyrim the first time a modder made his list of must have mods that i copied to pretty the game up, on the list there was a mod that makes the boobs bounce, i thought "must have? really?".

I can confirm after about 30 mins play hes right. :)

What keeps me going is, despite playing for over 300 hours between 2 characters, I feel I have barely scratched the surface. There is still so much for me to do. On my current 110 hour character I have done dawn guard and college of winter hold. Gonna start the main story at level 60 and do companions afterwards. Need to get on with the civil war story at some point too.

Hmm bit curious here.. any reason why the Thalmor would suddenly attack me out of the blue ?? I meet their patrols on the road several times but never no hostility and what I know, I never killed anyone of them. I was just out hunting and just taking the pelt from a deer when they come rushing in attacking me... and no, was a one shoot kill so arrow didn't miss and hit close to them.. fact was, I didn't even know they were around since they were behind a hill when I shoot the deer...

Is there any quests I might done that made them hostile ? I not done the Diplomatic Immunity quest yet, so it's not that one...

Unless.. do they have something against "soul" gathering from animals ? I was collecting them for enchanting jewellery so maybe that ?

Just being curious is all, really. I got the 2 armored ones but the mage fried me in one shoot.. lol

They're several ways you can annoy the Thalmor I've found aha!

The Justiciars may also attack immediately if the Dragonborn is wearing an Amulet of Talos. - They banished the worship if Talos, you got an amulet on?

Or

The Thalmor may send an execution team out for the Dragonborn even if they haven't done anything to them (i.e. have not attacked their patrols, rescued Thorald Gray-Mane, or started Diplomatic Immunity).

I kill nearly every thalmor patrol I come across, very fun and quite profitable.

Yet they are never hostile.

I doubt it will have any effect on your playthough Swede.

TheReaperGuy - Ahh yes I am.. got a Amulet of Thalos that reduces the time between shouts with 20 seconds.. probably that then.. interesting.. guess I shouldn't be wearing it when I go to the Diplomatic Party then ehh... :D .. Thanks Reaper, solved that mystery.. lol .. unfortunately they didn't show up again when I went back and was prepared for them... (Yes I know, game is random.. lol .. still, would been nice.. ;) )

Disco_P - nah wont have any effect on my play, first time I'm playing Skyrim so basically avoiding them, the Imperial or Stormcloaks and just having a peek around.. I was just curious as to why they suddenly just attacked me like that.. lol... right now after reading things in this thread I'm now trying to rise my enchanting and smithing skills so I can make some good enchanted armor.. barely following the main quest really but have found out some nice things you can find by doing Dragonborn quests so be heading back to Solstheim again since when I was there at lvl 14 I got my behind kicked down in the mine.. lol

The Thalmor bug me anyway, snooty elves controlling the imperials! So I always kill them for the fun of it, they carry some decent stuff and plus you can save the slaves/prisoners they are bringing along.

Also for smithing and enchanting, best thing is to mine iron ore, transmute to gold & smith gold rings. Enchant the rings with fortify marksman or blocking and then sell them off for a profit.

Levels Alteration, Smithing & Enchantment plus you make some good gold for the effort put into it so not a bad combination. If you have CCO or another crafting mod then the smithing might be effected either in a good way or not. :p

Never run into them while they escorting someone, just a 3 person patrol so far.. but yeah they do give of some attitude.. lol

Yeah think it was a post of yours that made me concentrate on mining iron, transmute it into sliver then gold and make rings/necklace of it.. can't say on top of my head what my smith skill is at now but it is pretty decent.. and all I can make them enchanted with is for magic stuff, guess need more disenchantment done to get more stuff to put on them.. lol

Yeah I have CCO, pretty decent mod, only thing that "bugs" me with it is you need 5 ores to create 1 ingot.. :(

A little feedback for the guide creators... I'm finding that the 60fps cap via rivatuner is affecting my SLI performance. It runs much smoother with no cap, and the GPU's run at 80%+ as opposed to 50%+ with the cap. The temperatures are almost 10c higher with no cap.

Maybe someone else with SLI can confirm if this affects them in the same way.

That became an annoying as well, 5 ores for an ingot was pretty tough, but the reasoning behind it made sense. Miners are poor & need to mine a lot to make a little, but I changed the mining settings so I got 5 iron per drop, with 3 drops per mine so evens it back out, but does still require a lot of materials!

@String, I have my 2 680's in SLI, can do some testing for you, I done limit my FPS using Rivatuner though, I have it set in a config file I believe?

Yeah I done the same actually, but then you get all the added weight to account for so still a pain.. lol .. but yeah, I agree that the reasoning behind it is fair, it's just a bit of a pain.. lol

The Rivatuner method is in the OP, but it would be interesting to see if it's the frame limit causing it, or Rivatuner. Have a look at how hard your cards work with and without the cap.

My fps, although uncapped, appears to be capped after all as it sits at 120 which is my monitor refresh rate.

Anyway, with no cap set it seems to run much better for me.

I have been experimenting with a 60fps cap using ENB.

Even on a single 780 it doesn't feel smooth. So I turned it off, not noticed any difference in game mechanics and physics. But it is a hella lot smoother.
