The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim - MODS & TWEAKS

I have used MO awhile back, but for some reason it wouldn't automatically download through Nexus so I stopped using it

As Reaper said, need to set up MO for it which is pretty easy to do;

1. Click on the tools at top row, opens the Settings Window
2. Choose 2nd Tab, Nexus
3. Select "Automatically Log-In to Nexus" and fill out your Username and Password
4. Below the first box is a big button *Associate with "Download with manager" links*, click that one and you set for downloading from Nexus through MO.

If you want to see it done, go to Gopher (yeah him again :p ) YouTube's Mod Organizer clips, not sure how to do a link directly to where it shows but it is approx 8min 40sec in where he shows how to do it.

Gopher YouTube clips - Mod Organizer #1 - Installation and Inital Setup

Hope that helps and maybe you give it another try now. ;)

Gah! I am so tempted by MO instead of NMM but I still can't bring myself to try and port my existing game + save to it... The issue is I reached the point where I felt the game was stable and I had a decent set of mods and am now maybe 100hrs or so into a playthrough... I really don't want to mess up my save... Is there any way to guarantee that while transferring to MO?

Make a copy to desktop and then copy it into the MO/Saves folder, get it worked without any mods to make sure MO can read it and then transfer your mods over. :D

TheSwede is quite right + Gopher is fantastic at explaining everything you need plus his video's/live streams are enjoyable to watch! :)

Thats the one trouble with hundreds of mods. Looks nice, isnt convenient at all :P Sticking to my 8.

Now to find my way out of this pitch black dungeon...

Meh I hate MO, just don't like it and I didn't like it before!

The only thing I did before which I should not have done was messing with "Skin Textures" this is what started the problem before. I'll stick what I know and that's NMM :)

Won't take me long, I've had Skyrim installed for a year without fault until Yesterday :p

Safety Load - Stops infinite load screens when several mods are added.
Double Cursor Fix - Fixes the infamous double cursor from appearing when you ALT+TAB.
Borderless Fix - Fix for when you ALT+TAB out of the game. (Replaced by OneTweak although having issues loading it)

Has now been updated with OneTweak

EDIT : Nice, sometimes it's good to do a reinstall as lots of mods have been updated! The latest NMM works a treat too :D :D Happy Days

One problem though with OneTweak, if people using SLI/CrossFire then that wont work so for me, using the Safety Load and Double Cursor Fix as "stand alone" is useful :) .. otherwise I would have to run on just one GFX instead of both.

I can't be bothered with MO. It would probably do more harm than good giving me that much power and would only make me more concious of issues and conflicts.

I only have about 50 mods, most of them only cover a single aspect of the game.

Double cursor is fixed by ENBoost and Safety Load is redundant if you use the skyrim memory patch :)

Neither, just whatever was on the front page link under Double Cursour Fix.

As an aside, how hard is it to play for Empire? It seems that all the quests tailor you to Stormcloak alliance.

I would try enboost for fixing the double cursor. You should be using it anyway as it makes the game more stable and can increase performance.

About the storm cloaks, when you start digging you learn that they are incredibly racist and
Ulfric Stormcloak was a thalmor agent

Thee is probably other things too that I haven't discovered.

I played stormcloaks for my first five playthroughs and then I switched to imperial and found the dialoque better during the cival war,and the stormcloaks did'nt get the chance to wreck solitude.dont mind wrecking windhelm but not solitude.

Am I the only person in the world for who ENBboost offers no performance enhancement whatsoever? I've tried reinstalling it, uninstalling it again and again, tried every ENB version I can find from the newest to the oldest in the archives but the result is always the same, no advantage whatsoever. Infact theres a fps drop and the game is perfectly stable anyway.

Or does it only offer advantages for nVidia owners?

There is a folder called AMD_Videocard for AMD card users. So I would guess that it is for AMD users too.

If i install Dawnguard and Dragonborn now, it wont be as simple as just installing the unofficial patches right? I'll have to start over with the mods?
