The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim - MODS & TWEAKS

For enboost I followed STEP's guide, which differs from the nexus mod version and never had any issue:
http://wiki.step-project.com/ENBoost

You will also want to enable the memory tweak for skse (now my preference) or install smse.
http://wiki.step-project.com/Skyrim_Memory_Patch_3.0

The OP probably covers this off anyway, but if you follow the STEP links provided you should not have issue. Assuming this is the cause of your problems and not the installation and removal of mods on a current save file you alluded to before.

Hope that helps. :)

Thanks KingDazza, I follwed the above guides but now the Smyrim Performance Monitor wont work for me. :p .. I ticked the "Attempt Support for Custom D3D9.dll" but seems I am not one of the lucky ones that it would work for. Guess I got to go back to Afterburner so I can atleast get a rough guideline as to how the memory is doing with this STEP guide. :)

Don't know if anyone has already posted about this. But have you tried running Climates of Tamriel together with its patch for Lightning During Thunder Storms mod, Supreme Storms and Supreme Volumetric Fog? Superb. You may need to disable ambient occlusion for the fog, but worth it.

Also tried a few minor mods, but great, Smoking Torches & Candles, Embers HD (better than the other ember mod imo), Point The Way & Road Signs Redone.

Been enjoying Enhanced Blood Textures, Lanterns of Skyrim, Convenient Horses and Immersive NPC's too and all have been running together for 50 hours with no issues to date. The combination of enboost and memory patch I'm sure is why.

What a difference HQLod makes to distance terrain. I am running vanilla landscape for the lods to work but you can get them for a few other texture packs

with the noise map that came with the tree lod

Bought the Legendary Edition, and got Nexus Mod Manager. Haven't had skyrim since 360, and my 290 should be able to cope with a lot of mods installed.

I'm really into immersive, and weather effects, clouds, rain etc.

Do you have any screenshots? Sounds interesting, I'm currently running CoT and Real Clouds.

Get working through the OP Mod list! :D

A quick question again: I know you can have different profiles with Mod Orginazer but can you have one normal profile, one with ENBoost only and a 3rd profile that has a ENB mod installed ?? Or would it be to much problem since both the ENBoost and a ENB mod uses a d3d9.dll file in the Skyrim folder that interacts (I think) with all your profiles ??

You need to move the ENB files out of the Skyrim folder when you aren't using the ENB. I've got a fully modded profile and a Vanilla profile and I can toggle between the two if I like.

I posted it not so long back, or someone else mentioned it.
As of yet, I don't even think it's finished.

It is an amazing overhaul and hope it gets finished, whole new game brought to the Skyrim world. :D

You posted about it Reaper.. but no one noticed and then someone else posted about it again, which you comment on. :)

This took my eye, it looks absolutely awesome.
Whole new world to explore and play within with a whole new questline.

To bad though it wont work by putting the ENB files in the profile folder and run them that way, would made it easier (and in my opinion, made more sense if one using more then one profile and/or ENB) and less chance one forget to swap them around. :o

Once I complete dying light its skyrim time, albeit modded this time properly :P

Thank you gentlemans :D I love skyrim so much 350 hours of gameplay later amd I still aint bored.
I followed the link and the download tab is greyed out? So is it in a closed beta?

CLOUDS!

I posted a while back about the 'real clouds' mod seemingly working better now on my enb and setup. Scratch that, it still has issues and most importantly it tanks performance way too much.

Step up 'CLOUDS for skyrim' by xgf http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/58471/?

This little known mod is basically the same ie realistic dynamic 3d clouds, but it works a lot better and seems far less buggy, and most importantly has much less of a performance hit. It consists of 3 esp's and I just untick the 'weather' one as it seems unnecessary and could cause issues with my other weather mods (I'm only running CoT and supreme storms though). I think, though can't be sure that performance is better doing this too, with less stutters.

The guy needs to change the name of the mod to something more apt, and I think it deserves more notoriety than it's got too!

Ive been hesitant to try real clouds just going by comments I read. Will give your idea a try at some point. Tbh though Im delighted with what ive already got set. Lightning during thunder storms is brilliant.

@TheSwede, isn't the d3d9.dll same for both ENBoost and an ENB? What you could do before disabling mods for a vanilla profile, is remove the other enb files, I think enbhost.exe is the main executable for running an ENB.

In MO you can setup other executables to run (how it runs SKSE, or TESV.exe etc), if you were to create a script that renames enbhost.exe to something like enbhost.exe.bak and then let MO run this and then run SKSE to start the game, this would stop the ENB from loading, but keep the d3d9.dll to provide the ENBoost fix?

If that make's any sense?

What's the problem with RealClouds? I have it running, but can't say I notice any issues?
