The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim - MODS & TWEAKS

I've started replaying and installed lots of mods :cool:

Only serious problem I've had was last night when I tried the "Breezehome FullyUpgradable" which redoes er...Breezehome. Seemed to work at first then all hell broke out, CTD all over the shop when zoning.:eek: Even previous saves which worked (with the mod) started to CTD. Had to go back to a safe save.

Anyone tried it and had problems?
 
Dont use both. Infact. Dont even touch Steam workshop. Take a screenshot of your load order, we can help.

If I were you I'd start using Mod Organiser from the get-go and forget about NMM. It's a powerful tool, especially when combined with the LOOT load order utility.

I'm currently playing Skyrim using Mod Organiser and Fallout New Vegas with NMM and if it wasn't for the fact that I've almost consumed every available mod going with FNV I'd completely remove NMM and never use again.

I uninstalled it to make room for Fallout 4 but looks like I might have just enough room to install it again. I'll give it another go at some point without and without NMM and see how it goes. Thanks for everyone's help so far :)
 
Wow finally got the mouse working (mostly) ok - could never play at a capped 60fps before G-SYNC and the mouse is just horrid with how broken it is at higher framerates.

60fps capped with G-SYNC using a Zowie FK at 450dps/1:1 mapping in windows plus MarkC mousefix and using:

Finally got something that feels natural, no stutter, not shooting all over the place as the framerate changes, etc. though might need a bit more tweaking to tie up X/Y axis sensitivity.

Might try and give the game another run through though hate how broken the UI is and can't be bothered with external programs like SKSE to use skyui.

EDIT: Oh and are there any actual good natural looking texture mods? I've got some "HD" packs that are lightly touched original HD textures but last time I tried the 2K/4K type packs I really disliked the amount of overly heavy embossing/sharpening used and how often a nice high resolution texture had been used but sat awkwardly on the geometry just looking naff.

So I gave in, installed SKSE and SkyUI - wow does it transform the game - especially being able to map favourites to something useful - though kind of clunky having to set it all up again and again as you get new gear, etc. but the combat is 100x better when you can quickly swap between offensive and defensive powers/weapons, utilise a selection of potions or scrolls fluidly in the middle of a fight, etc.

EDIT: Then ran into a situation where the enemy was highly resistant to all my preset loadouts lol...

Look in the ini files or config files for the ENB and search for any dof settings that are disabled, FALSE or 0.

I would help you more, but it's bed for me now :)
 
Yea, I chose full graphics mode. Every mention of "depthoffield" in the ini files is set to true or 1. There's no mention of it in skyrim.ini

Yea, I chose full graphics mode. Every mention of "depthoffield" in the ini files is set to true or 1. There's no mention of it in skyrim.ini

Its in enbseries.ini

Or press Shift+Enter ingame, then tick the box marked "Enable Depth of Field" and Save. If that fails make sure you have a file called enbeffectprepass.fx in your Skyrim folder.

Looks like some kind of Lighting mod as well? Something is removing distance fog at anyrate. Non-vanilla lighting and "look" is entirely down to mods and ENB/SweetFX. If you don't like the look of one ENB try another. I use ENB for shadows and Sun/God Rays only and let Sweet FX and RLO handle everything else.
