The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim - MODS & TWEAKS

Does this address the DX9/Win10 failings, or is it still DX9?

No idea about that, I'm on Win7. I dl-ed the zip file, the installer, put the installer in the Skyrim folder, executed, browsed to the zip file, installed the mod. Fast and simple, everything works.

Only played a few hours so far, the exploration is much better than Skyrim's because the locations don't seem to have random items. The monsters have levels and if you stray too far you run into nasty ones you can't touch. :)

This Enderal mod wasn't on my radar at all, looks really interesting, I'll have to check it out thanks for the heads up.

Quick question but I run a really well modded skyrim with enb, texture mods etc etc, will all this work in Enderal or not, or does it need its own specific visual mods, if there are any?

You can use some but it's recommended to look for ones marked compatible. It's more total conversion than mod so some mods that effect the world may break it or just do nothing. Things that change say loot on the other hand are more likely ok. ENBs should also be enderal ones as some break cutscenes.

The game is already molded by them, lighting and foliage for example are much better plus the world is higher detail so you should check performance first too.

So far amazed by this. Aside from a couple crashes and the odd missed translation it's incredible.

I'm not really up to speed, but I was under the impression that it is a complete overhaul/conversion so it probably has many custom objects/textures. A lot of original stuff will be reused but I wouldn't count on whole texture packs working...

I saw this had been released last night but got worried that my Skyrim was modded and couldn't work out how it installed.

does it install into the Skyrim folder (I use MO so mods are separate) then have its own launcher?

Where does it say it? Could it be reported wrong?

If memory serves me correct, then the game should crash if you set a res in the ini that your monitor can't handle. To test, set the ini to:

iSize H=3840
iSize W=2160

The game should CTD, and prove that the ini settings are being passed to the game engine on launch.
