The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim - MODS & TWEAKS

I hit the "download with manager" link once and it said "I don't know what to do with this type of file" (much like when you hit a Steam link and you've not got Steam installed) - so I guess I need to download and install this Nexus thing from somewhere - I looked on the site and couldn't see it obviously linked! :)

Not come across this myself yet, ill install when I get home

lol, I am not installing individual texture packs for each NPC! Some of these modders need to get together and release a larger texture overhaul - it is starting to get a bit silly tbh.

Well they can't really do much other than texture replacements or minor stuff until the Creation kit is out to do the meaty stuff. There are a lot of modders out there that like to make their own stuff. Unfortunately in Oblivion modding community there was quite a lot of bickering between modders and people unwilling to work together on the big projects. All of the big overhauls in Oblivion were done by very few people on the project and took a lot of time to get where they were.

But I agree, I cba to install a texture replacement for everything npc/clothing that comes out and a big pack should come out :D

Yeah it's the reason I skipped a lot of the mods. I didn't do any better clothes/better bodies/better barrels/etc as a lot of them seemed incomplete and consist of one or two texture swaps. The weapon one also springs to mind.

I installed the potions/poisons mod though just because it looks awesome :P

Same for me, the latest patch improved it slightly but it is still terrible, drops to around 25-30. Before the patch it went down to aroun 15 though!

I can't seem to find what causes it either, i can look at 2 (apparently) identical screens but get 60fps on one and 20fps on the other, the only thing i have noticed is that shadows make a hell of a lot of difference in some places.

Here is a link i found whilst searching for a solution myself( i had it bookmarked)

It is only for AMD cards though. There are probably similar ones for Nvidia carsd if you have one.

Something is going on though, as some people play the game flawlessly with weaker CPU and GPU's
