I really don't like that feature.

I actually was told by a guard I'd stolen something and don't even remember doing it... so sure I wasn't spotted by anyone (no one complained). I might've looted something by accident (pressed E rather than W for example)... but the guards are seriously annoying.

At one point I saved, put on God Mode and then just murdered everyone to vent before reloading my old save :p

Yeah I've stolen a few petty gems etc but with no one around. I checked no one was in the building first. Occasionally I get "keep your thievery away from here" or something like that from various guards at Markarth.

The guards can find out that you were the one lurking around their stuff but since they have no proof of your thievery, they will usually hire thugs to "teach you a lesson".

It's not annoying, it's a great feature.

In my case I was actively stalked for 50 gold... I never bothered to steal anything either... so it must've been by accident.

I am sure I didn't hear anyone whine at me either, which annoys me twice as much now the guards are after me.

QUESTION

How "evil" can you actually be in this game? I mean, can you be evil / good and people react accordingly, or can you just mess your game up? Have really not tried being good or bad, as I've just been messing about with the mages guild stuff :/

So really, I should steal more, and kill the thugs for XP and MORE loot :D

Did you break into anybody's house? That could be considered a minor offense - they will recognize you as a thief when you talk to them but would let you go most of the time.

Pickpocketing them when they're unaware and wearing their stuff in public will have hilarious consequences like the ones in my spoiler post. ;)

I thought you could kill the main bad guy at any time and thus finish the main quest without speaking to any essential NPCs? What I found more annoying was the ability to lose documents needed for the the main quest:rolleyes:.
 
The only thing that annoyed me in that respect was when this happened-

I had just got the wabbajack and was on top of a mountain when a woman came up to me and asked me to use the wabbajack on her so i did and immediately received a 1000g bounty! There was nobody around to see it though.

I've only had a quick look with 1.5 installed but I have noticed a couple of little bugs with it. Think I'm going to go back to 1.4, I didn't notice any problems while playing with that one installed.
 
After the patch yesterday a lot of the textures in my game seem to be a lot worse, furniture in particular looks horrible, i don't think mountains and rocks look as good as they did either.

I only installed the 1.5 water mod tonight and had a quick go then reinstalled 1.4 because i saw a few bugs in 1.5, before that I haven't played it since before the patch so it may have been messed up and I wouldn't of noticed but I'm sure I have noticed some little things that seemed a bit starnge earlier in my version.

Got to the bottom of it my SkyrimPrefs config had gone back to standard settings, may of forgot to change it to read only last time i edited it. Whatever the reason its back to normal now anyway.

There are three water mods at least that I'm aware of. I was curious if it was the Isoku one as it looks slightly different from mine. I was getting bugs with my installation of it so wanted to know if he was using an alternative.

Regardless, this topic is for the discussion of mods & tweaks is it not?

wish someone would up-res all the chest textures they really are soooo 720p

ingame settings AS-8 AA-0ff FXAA 1680x1050 drivers-285.58

best water mod so far imho is just doubling the res in the ini of the original and smoothing at 3. every water mod so far does'nt look better.
