The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Remastered - MODS & TWEAKS

I wish someone would redo the ground textures. It's my biggest gripe with this game, repeating ground textures are so obvious and horid. Really wouldn't be hard to make the orientation of the block random.

Yeah the rocky riverbanks are a particularly bad example of the repeating textures. I think if there was an easy fix it would have been done by now, probably just down to the engine they use. Its much worse at mid distance, the close and far textures look fine.

This is why the dense grass mods are good as they cover up most the the ground .

The worst offenders are the sea and lake beds.

Thanks for the advice. I spent hours last night installing half of the stuff on this page:

http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/76373/?

And to be honest, Skyrim looks terrible as a consequence! It wouldn't be so bad, but the render distance is now about 20m and the texture for the ground is just awful. I think I'm going to have to basically undo what I've done.

Can anyone recommend a good guide for a nice graphic overhaul of Skyrim? Then I'll put on a few gameplay mods. (other than the OP of course)

Does no one use the Steam Workshop? I did used to use Nexus, but with all the conflicts I gave up on it. Seeing the list here and having read a couple of guides, it seems that I am out of the loop.

How much hard work is it to use Nexus??

There is no Steam Workshop for SSE Bethesda cut Steam out of the loop other than purchasing/downloading the game from there and I wouldn't be surprised if they drop that for future titles too.

Its either Bethesda.net that you access from within the game itself like FO4 or Nexus

I.ve used that exact guide for modding skyrim its spot on.not had any issues just make sure you read everything and only install a few mods at a time......

or try this one

This guide is brilliant, thank you. If you do go to use it, though, for some reason he links to his old videos, and you go through everything with Nexus, and then if you click the next video he starts all over a-bloody-gain with mod organizer. ****!

I have a really annoying problem with tree LODS fading in with a horrible, scratchy/gritty texture. Not sure if it's an ini problem or something breaking the flora overhaul LODs.

You mean they pop in out of thin air? Thats a mod thats adding extra trees and doesn't have a matching LOD. You can regenerate tree LOD's with the CK but thats probably a bit complicated to explain here.

I thought that might be the case. I was doing some reading earlier and apparently you can download Falskaar for normal skyrim and pull the lods out as loose files. I'm not that fussed and it must only happen in Falskaar if this is indeed the case.
