The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Remastered - MODS & TWEAKS

What's mod support like in Skyrim: SE like in general? Last I heard most mods needed an overhaul due to the 64bit client and most mod authors had already moved on. So it was a choice between old skyrim with many mods or new skyrim with fewer mods. Difficult choice really.

There's a fair chunk of mods making their way onto the Special Edition, I guess it depends on which ones you're looking for.
The ones that we're mostly missing at the moment is anything that relied heavily on SKSE to function as the team behind that haven't managed to sort out a new version yet.

Lots of texture mods like horse armours, mature skins, 2K & 4K landscapes, cloaks of skyrim and the water/snow mods are available, as well as some of the weather ones (Climates of Tamriel)
A few of the companions have made their way onto SE such as Sofia and Inigo.
Apocolypse Magic has been move across as well as some of the combat mods.
I believe some of the custom homes have started moving across as well.

Looking at pics and YT videos, why does everything still look so washed out?

I don't think I've ever found a mod or ENB that's really made me happy with Skyrim. I'm keen to give the SE a go but it needs to look a bit more special to be worth it IMO. If it can match the richness of TW (although obviously not the detail, that would be stupid to expect) then I'm bang up for it.

The god rays included in the SE edition wash everything out. Look up at my post.

With ENB presets, I found that no matter how popular the presets are they just look wrong with my selection of mods.
I think you have to be willing to take the base ENB and spend a good 4+ hours of tweaking settings to get something that looks right for your own taste.

That sounds promising actually.

For mods that are working in both versions, how do they look? Does Inigo look identical in both versions? Not that it changes anything, just curious really. I've not tried the SE.

As far as I can tell, Inigo looks near identical in both versions.
I believe the only bit that had to be completely redone was the eyes as the Special Edition uses different meshes for those.

Just noticed that Vilja has also been copied over so you can get the interactions between her and Inigo again.

I'm level 100 in conjunction and have the dead thrall spell and I saw a video on youtube where someone used it to get two deadric lords however in my game the dead thrall spell doesn't resurrect the corpse. Does anyone one know if the remastered edition has nerfed thrall spell vs the original base game?

It's the Twin Souls conjuration perk that allows you to summon 2 Daedric Lords at once.

I won't touch this until the SKSE is released, which could be some time.

Maybe never then. I have 58 mods running and use the SkyUI with the error message removed so the inv stuff works. having zero issues. Really enjoying it.

Not sure what SKSE mods are must have that make it worth waiting 6 or 12 months to play though.

On the quest with Lydia to kill a dragon, 3 dragons at once are battling us and I'm hiding under a bridge spamming that early energy spell till they die, this is taking a long time and I cannot move.

I read this as 'on the quest to kill Lydia with a dragon'.

Hoping they nail SKSE for Special Edition soon. Really want to give it a bash, but so many good mods rely on better script support. I've read the new engine does multi thread extremely well and is much more stable, as well as allowing much more items on screen at once.

Same here, waiting for the SKSE before starting SE. On the other hand doing a playthrough right now on the old one so keeping myself busy. But can't wait until it is out and give the 64 bit Skyrim a good run, once some more mods been ported over as well. :)

Think I have to reconsider my above statement after it seems I having bit trouble with my normal Skyrim. Sometimes end up having a very long loading screen when enter citites or buildings, and other times it goes quickly. But everytime I start up game last couple times it takes quiet a long time for it to start. Sooo with that in mind and having earlier today read on Nexus and on SKSE's website that the SKSE64 for Skyrim SE might take a very long time before it comes out, if ever. :(

Link Nexus: SKSE 64 Bit Delayed Release Update - Skyrim Special Edition Script Extender Delayed Release
And the last couple pages in this thread also indicates it might be some time: [WIPz] Skyrim Script Extender (SKSE64)
or at http://skse.silverlock.org/
https://forums.nexusmods.com/index.php?/topic/5206865-wipz-skyrim-script-extender-skse64/
Had a look at the first page for some possible mods but unfortunatelly it not been updated since 1st December of last year so was wondering if anyone could possible link (to a compiled lsit somewhere else) or post some necessary mods, like Immersive Armours, Ordinator etc that makes the game stand out even more. :o Think I also seen some post that SkyUI can be used but not all of it, or such ??

Thank you all. :)
