im guessing within 3 runs counts
We need to still be in it by tomorrow, bit of rain forecast overnight and in the morning.Aus should win from here, but I think it'll be hairier for them than some expect
Don't think we need that many looking at the forecast drag it out another hour or so get another 50 runs and given the weather I think we are in the game, 250 is the absolute minimum for us to have even a glimmer I would say. It is a really shame so many have got in and out today if just one of the team had turned at 40 something into a ton we would be favourites.Just need Ali and Robinson to get 50 apiece
It surprised me but I loved that approach. The declaration in the first innings could cost us tbh. Ali just needs to go for it from here.
Agreed - it felt like a calculated risk and an appropriate one given how we play.It surprised me but I loved that approach.
Thought your review by agreement was working better, alas not. Think it'll hurt you with the narrow margins of some of these decisions.Gonna be tough to get through this with no reviews left.
My only issue with the declaration was not giving Root a couple more overs he was in blistering form and seeing it like a football, 2 over knowing the declaration was coming could have added a vital 20 odd runs to the total for loss of very little time, the lead is edging towards 250 which suddenly sounds more reasonable make it 280 by some miracle and it's game on.Agreed - it felt like a calculated risk and an appropriate one given how we play.
We probably sacrificed something between 10 and 50 runs, for the option to have a run at the Aussie openers late in the evening. If that had come off and we'd taken two wickets everyone would be calling it brilliant. It didn't work, but I've no issue with it as an idea.
