I can only think that the intention is to have at least 3 sessions to knock the Aussies over and to make up any lead they reach. 1.5 sessions today and the rest made up of whatever they can get in the next couple of days. That said, we'll likely be all out in the next half hour anyway

few good points on bbc cricket that the more we get on the board the more aggressive we can be from the off with slips etc.
