The England Cricket Thread

Much closer than I thought that'd be after the first 2 days. Got into a really strong position today but let it go to waste but India will no doubt be worried about future 4th inning chases.

Our journeyman seam attack must be the laughing stock of world cricket. Anderson and Robinson are just too SLOW to worry world-class test batsman. Dropping Wood was odd.

Compare that to the likes of Australia, S Africa, and even New Zealand. They have actual pace in their seam attacks. Drives me nuts.

I know Archer and Stone etc. are injured, as English fast bowlers always seem to be. What I don't get it how Oz maintains 90mph seamers that never seam to get injured. We just don't have enough of an emphasis on pace on our green swinging pitches.

Going to be an interesting final innings. England need to strike quick and early to get on top. Think if India get to 50 without loss they'll finish it with many wickets in hand on the confidence.

Will be an interesting tournament will all the small teams. Look forward to seeing Nepal's youngsters who have rewritten a few records recently. 314 against Mongolia at the Asia games, including a 9 ball 50 by Dipendra Singh Airee. Same match Mala scored a hundred aged 19.

Don't have much expectation from South Africa as bowling does not look great. Players either overcooked from IPL or not played for a while. The middle order of Klaasen, Miller and Stubbs could be fun though.

Can't believe the crowd for the WI - PNG game. Yes it is low key game starting at 10am but the stadium was empty. Why not give free tickets and bus school kids in to get a buzz.

Love how the New York (well Nassau County) games will be played on a pitch shipped from Adelaide
