No I was getting at you admitting that you know nothing about any potential Russian deal yet are sure it would have been better than what Greece got. I quoted the bits to try and make it easier.

Like you prefer to go for a complete unknown over something that isn't perfection.

I mean it's at least a consistent view, but it makes no sense.

If it's so bad, why are the Norwegian people not champing at the bit to join up? I've seen no evidence that there is much support for that notion. I have seen evidence that Norwegians aren't too happy at their government for signing up to Schengen.

I think the point is the Norway model is not what most people voting No would ever tolerate.

There won't be a vote to ask the people whether they'd like to join such a deal either.

It may be the case that Britain remains under the thumb of Brussels legislation, in the same way Norway is, even after a leave vote.

Leaving the EU to join the EEA isn't my preferred option, but it is preferable to staying as we are currently.

That 50% saving per capita on the EU 'fee'? Do we still get the rebate and the farming subsidies if we are part of the EEA, as if we don't that 50% saving is wiped out immediately.

I watched the Leave campaign bag of lies broadcast earlier this evening, and it would leave you thinking if we leave, the £350Million we give every week to Europe will magically instead build us a new hospital every week.

Can't wait to see Boris explaining why a single hospital hasn't been build when he is conservative leader after a Brexit, indeed, why he hasn't build 50 each year...

Yeah, shame about everything else that the money gets used on.....let's just use it for the NHS and screw everything else :p

It's odd that Norway enacts so much EU law, when not required too according to that Graphic. Perhaps I'm misunderstanding what the Norwegian ex-Foreign Minister said in that Guardian article?

As an EEA member, we do not participate in decision-making in Brussels, but we loyally abide by Brussels’ decisions. We have incorporated approximately three-quarters of all EU legislative acts into Norwegian legislation – and counting. We have legally secured access to the single market, and we practise the free movement of people, goods, services and capital. Norway is more closely integrated into many aspects of the EU than even some of the EU’s members.
Just for my own sake I wanted a defintion of the EEA, it is broad enough. The Interesting thing is the UK is already a member, by being in the EU :)

The EEA Agreement provides for the inclusion of EU legislation covering the four freedoms — the free movement of goods, services, persons and capital — throughout the 31 EEA States. In addition, the Agreement covers cooperation in other important areas such as research and development, education, social policy, the environment, consumer protection, tourism and culture, collectively known as “flanking and horizontal” policies. The Agreement guarantees equal rights and obligations within the Internal Market for citizens and economic operators in the EEA.

Interesting also is the rate at which EU law is being enacted in the EEA is picking up pace.

I met a fair few polish and Romanian lads on site who have citizenship and voting out. It's no reason not to vote leave having migrated from another European country.

Romanians were only granted freedom of movement in January 2014 and British citizenship requires 3-5 years of residence. Am I missing something here or are you telling porkies?

Anyone watching this ITV debate with Boris Johnson and Nicola Sturgeon?

I was pretty sure I was going to vote remain, but I honestly don't know, the leave campaign have some compelling arguments - especially around the financial side and the removal of corruption and bureaucracy, but they seem to have very little certainty on anything..

Coin flipped...

-We can set our own taxes: so what's to stop them going higher?
-We can use the £350m on things like he NHS: whats to say that will happen? Perhaps it will get frittered away on tat?

It's all words, just like in normal election debates, both will be spouting whatever you want to hear to get a vote
