yeah they can't do anything until the 16th apparently, and then i would have to pick it up from the town hall - pain in the arse.
yeah he was on jeremy vine the other day and does more harm than good - vote remain really shouldn't use him.

What's it in relation to or otherwise what's her point? MPs may overrule the people they represent by blocking the legislation to leave the EU. My MP is supporting Brexit, if I vote for remain am I overruling my MP by voting to remain?

MP's are not leaders, they are representatives.
They should not have delegated their authority in this respect if they do not like the possible results.

I'd argue most people vote a party in for their range of views, not the MP. I bet most people have no idea what they're MP thinks about things, and a significant number no idea who their MP actually is.

But in a referendum MP's are explicitly asking the voters to make a decision on a single issue. They can't then ignore the result if they don't like the answer.

I agree, their opinion counts as much as any other voter: one vote.
They are free to campaign all they want but saying that casting a vote which differs from your elected MP overrules your MP implies that they had authority over you on the matter which they do not. They represent not lead.

What about protecting our democracy and our right to hire/fire and hold our elected officials to account? That's one of the biggest reasons I'm voting to leave. That and the path the EU is on that I want no part in - further and faster integration, the five presidents report, "harmonisation" of company law, property law, the EU tax identifier number for each individual etc. It's clear the path the EU wants to take, and many people don't like it. It's not just about borders and abiding by rules.

Eddie still thinks it's the 90s. Sadly 20 odd years of ordinary people getting progressively worse off while the rich get richer, banks get bailed out of their own mistakes on one hand, but a window tax for others, have rendered liberal ideals meaningless to many.
