Most people seem to agree that this would be A Bad Thing. There was a Guardian article a few weeks ago which pointed out that some of the border roads weave back and forwards across the border, so you'd either have to have multiple checkpoints within a few miles or you'd have to scrap it and build new roads on each side.
There was also some vague talkabout requiring some agreements in the peace-deal needing to be re-written and re-approved, but I don't remember hearing specifics.
Out of interest, has anyone thought about what will happen with Ireland if we vote to leave?
Personally,i couldn't give a toss what happens to Ireland..all that matters to me is we get out of this EU and take back control,Ireland can be Ireland do sort out their own business.

Enda Kelly (the Taoiseach) wrote an article about it here.
No, but it does claim we send £20b a year to the EU, based on a figure of £350m a week which has been discussed many times as being incorrect.
its only incorrect due to the re-bait that happens as part of the money we send and get back, so in current standing we only send about 150m, Leave the EU we keep the lot 350m, so its right and wrong depending which way you look at it

No, its wrong.
Irish border is a non-issue we would just keep the agreement we currently have.

Ireland isn't a member of Schengen so it wouldn't matter.Not sure the EU would be too happy with having an open border with a non member.
I could just say its right, but as you believe its wrong "link?" happy to be shown that its wrong
Which Parliament could repeal at any time if it really became an issue.
Here's someone who actually knows what he's talking about, a specialist in EU constitutional law who has advised the Cabinet Office, Parliamentary committees, the BBC on EU legal issues.
For anyone voting - this is the best independent, expert opinion I've heard in the whole debate.
The bit on sovereignty is from 3.20, if you're too lazy to listen to the whole thing;

Britain is a Sovereign state, Parliament is the ultimate law-making authority in the UK.
The EU is not a sovereign entity, never mind a Sovereign state.
