Could be referring to areas of law for which the EU has set its own standard for eg. employment law, environmental, business... etc and the UK has never had the need to make similar up to date laws since we have been tackling the same issues using the standards set by the EU.

We can overrule any EU legislation if we really want, but you have to kick up a really big fuss, and repercussions could well follow, so no one bothers.

You must know different academics to me then. It's a very socialist left leaning environment in my experience. But then you would expect that given the way education is funded.

The Fabian Society founded the LSE for instance. Check out their philosophy, interesting stuff. Also read up on "Common Purpose" another interesting organisation.

The information is out there if you want to find it.

You do know the LSE is one (fairly small) school. There are hundreds of universities in the UK and they aren't all the same.

My reasoning:

• Remain getting absolutely slated all over social media, which is primarily the domain of the demographic most expect to vote Remain.
• Attempts to demonise Leave voters as racist/xebophobic etc makes me believe they’re less likely to be honest about their voting intentions, so if the polls say 50% I suspect it’ll actually be a few more.
• Polls in recent years have suggested 70%+ of the UK wants immigration reduced.

If I’m wrong I shall eat my hat (which is made of cheesecake).

While I think your stats might be right r.e percentage, you should really discount social media as a good indicator. I've just seen my boss post that any remain voter was supporting the Lee Rigby killers. That says a lot about social media.

Europe was a basket case in law of employees rights and work directives.
