Everything is guess work in the end, even for your economist friend. The only thing for certain is that remaining means giving up and letting a foreign power tell us what to do.

Yes everything is guess work, but on average an aerospace engineer does better job designing a plane than a plumber. The overwhelming economic forecasts are poorer after a leave.

Never mind our weather, may be further Industrial action in France will swing it...

Industrial action in France – Thursday 23 June

A national strike across France including some of the main Air Traffic Control trade unions on Thursday 23 June will unfortunately bring yet another day of unnecessary disruption for some customers travelling in Europe.

This strike will be the tenth day of industrial action in the past three months by French air traffic controllers.

We are sorry that your flight could face disruption, which is beyond our control, and we recognise that you may not wish to travel as a result.

Those wonderful EU Workers Rights making the French strike again. :p :D

I see the Guardian are still conflating Brexit with the death of Jo Cox (or rather voting Remain with feeling sad about her murder) by having a headline with a rolling set of pictures next to it, one being an accurate one of Cameron giving a speech but the majority then after from the event today celebrating her life [a different story].

I did, it was just as emotive rubbish.

Have a look at the HoL daily benefits and expenses...

OMG It's a SCAM!!11!!

I thought you keep saying you know how the world works, and it's all just money....so why any of this is a surprise to you is beyond me.....its just the way the world is, right?

Doesn't matter if it's the EU, the HoL, the US senate or the Govt of Iraq, they all live very well off the expenses of their countries.

Imagine being on this payroll...............

Daily allowance. In addition, MEPs will receive daily allowances for each day they sign in in the Parliaments` buildings in Brussels or Strasbourg. The daily allowance is € 304 per day. It is meant to cover rent and extra household but is also paid to members e.g. living in and elected in Brussels.

A MEP can sign in 10 pm in the evening and 7 am in the morning and receive 2 days' daily allowance without having taken part in any meeting or other relevant parliamentary activity.

However, on days when plenary votes are held, if MEPs miss more than half the roll-call votes this allowance is reduced by half. For meetings outside the EU, the allowance is € 152 with hotel and breakfast bills refunded separately.

Assistants. MEPs can hire staff to assist them in their job for an amount of € 19,709 per month (2011 figures).

Now that's a job.

The EU is a scam!

If you don't think your MEP is earning their money you can elect a different one. It would even be possible to stand as an MEP with the sole intent of getting the salary reduced.

Well people saying that the plane flying over was disrespectful, using a persons death for political gain is more so.

Give me 3 reasons to stay in the EU?

1) Improved workers rights
2) Improved consumer rights
3) In an increasingly globalised world being part biggest trading block
4) Improved environmental protections
5) Greater power as part of the group to curb multinational corporation interests - including tackling creative tax avoidance schemes

I couldn't limit it to only 3....sorry

Cameron's bright idea which people on average (just about) voted for.

But it could have been done so much more cohesively. If the government had taken a neutral stance and provided facts for and against the EU instead of encpuraging a split across two sides then I am sure Remain would have fared much better and the country would not be divided.

Why not go the whole hog and disqualify terminally ill people as well. While we're at it maybe we should weight each vote depending on how young you are and maybe have more votes if you have children.

Nope. Silly idea. One person. One vote. Everyone above voting age gets a say.

so why set a voting age if all votes are equal, is it that when you turn 18 some sort of wisdom is installed in you that you didn't have at 17and 364 days.

so if we can set a voting min age limited based on a person precived wisdom why not a max age limited based on now the vote will effect them
