Talk for yourself please. I'm English.

Okaaaaaaaay.......So you're English, which is England, which is a European Country. I don't understand what you're getting at. England is a Country, Europe is a continent of which we are a part of...

So if you're abroad and someone asks you where you a from, what is your response?

I'd answer British, despite that not being technically correct. The fact that I've answered in that way doesn't mean that I don't self identify as a European as well though.

You can't argue on the one hand say pulling out of the EU will create a brain drain because the best people will be put off by going through a visa process despite being attracted to our language/having family here/getting a higher wage, whilst at the same time saying businesses here will be prepared to spend millions and go through a lot more work to move out of the country to avoid paying tariifs.

This makes no sense, you're comparing apples and oranges and then claiming bananas.

If you're not English you won't get it. Gilly says the same.

Back on topic.

"Tusk was careful to single out illegal economic migrants for possible deportation, not asylum-seekers."

http://www.breitbart.com/london/201...tions-of-illegal-migrants-arriving-in-greece/

And just how are you going to do that Tusk?
You lot let them in with no papers\passport or any identification what so ever.
And this guy runs the EU!

So if you're abroad and someone asks you where you a from, what is your response?

Depends on where I am and who I'm speaking to. I'll be as specific as possible given the person's geographic knowledge. Most often, I'll say London.

Visas add cost and delays to hire people and therefore a business' ability to do work. That cost may be less than moving offices depending on the industry and labour costs.

What makes you English?

Is it blood?

Where your home is?

Where you grew up?

Who your friends are?

Who your neighbours are?

What brand of cat food my cat eats?

Genuine question

What makes you think your part Italian\Filipino\Oriental

Do you see a doctor to talk about the different parts of you?
Are you ashamed of one part and that's why you sometimes you say "your Oriental?"
Are you a confused child who doesn't know which way the wind blows?

Genuine question

I don't argue that England is a part of larger entities. It's in the UK but that's not how I describe where I'm from, just as I wouldn't refer to Europe. If I'm on holiday and someone that seems to be from somewhere outside the UK asks me where I'm from I'll say England. I'd never, ever identify as European.

That doesn't mean I don't believe England is within the continent of Europe, that's just not how I identify where I'm from.

I was brought up with those cultures. I say orriental because not everyone knows where the Phillipines is. Hard to believe but true.

when someone asks me what i am, i assume they mean ethnic origin, so i tell them?

Why is this a problem?

Are you a confused child who doesn't know which way the wind blows?

Genuine question

Wow, not surprising some of the crowd here turn to insults when my ethnic origins are known. Unless you genuinely think i am a confused child.

How do you think we done it for 100 years? your scrapping the barrel now.

Yes it will add cost. But that's a small price to pay for knowing who that person is. Works just fine in the USA for donkeys years.

Who do you support in the Ryder Cup?

No I'm not, you can't say people will stop coming to the UK because of a little extra hassle but at the same time businesses will head out of the country in the event of Brexit despite the far great level of "hassle" that involves.

You ask a person who likes to be called English

WTF has that got to do with being English? you want to play silly buggers I can as well.

It was said to add a bit of comedy while implying a request for articulate detail, yours was a personal attack and it was to go onto the next question which was:

So what does being a member of that group entitle you to, or what should it entitle you to over others?

I cant well and ask the next question without know what he defines as English.

"A bit of comedy" "personal attack" you say. Well what about the rest you said.

"Who your friends are?

Who your neighbours are?"

What has that got to do with being English? that's right nothing. You're fishing for an answer that you can MOAN about.

I'm English when I'm here and I'm English when I'm in my other home in FL.
