So many beta males, "I want to vote leave but I'm scared, I'll be safe and vote remain, now I will go home and do the washing up, WHAT! My wife is sleeping with another man! I guess that's okay as I'm scared to leave."

Agree. Voting to remain just because it might be easier, more comfortable or less annoying is pathetic.

Yes to Europe!

WTF - Clark Kent waving a flag.

Oh, and if it's good enough for Maggie, then it's good enough for me - voted remain.

This effectively amounts to trading your sovereignty/freedom for an easier life.

Shocking.

Better that than sacrificing his future and that of his family chasing hopes and dreams and promises of magic beans. That would be truly shocking. At least he's actually basing his thinking on something tangible to the man in the street.

You think the EU has a democratic basis? How can you think this? The EU Commission is comprised of 28 unelected individuals who cannot be held individually to account, and further cannot be held to account by the UK voters, but yet have significant power to impose EU wide legislation on the UK.

The EU Commissioners are appointed by their respective member states. In other words, the UK chooses her own Commissioner. I don't see a problem with that.

Commissioners' portfolios are decided by the EU President, but the EU Parliament is permitted to vote on their suitability. If the EU Parliament is not happy with a particular Commissioner, they must be replaced or given a new portfolio. I don't see a problem with that.

The Commissioners are glorified public servants; they don't have any power to create legislation. They are accountable to the EU Parliament, which can sack them all for any reason, without warning. I don't see a problem with that.

Commissioners can only propose legislation; they have no power to implement it. Only the EU Council and EU Parliament has the power to vote on and pass legislation. I don't see a problem with that.

If you're so concerned about undemocratic processes and 'unelected' officials, I suggest you take a long hard look at the British Monarchy and the House of Lords... and the entire British Civil Service.

I overhear people at work still discussing their decision stating that because they are still undecided they will vote in as they are unsure what benefits leaving will bring.

I really don't think remain people are scared They just don't see the benefits of leaving. I'm certainly not scared, but I'd rather be in the EU than out of it.

What I do see, on the Leave side, is people who are scared of immigrants. That's project fear, in my opinion.

The vote should be cast according to his OWN wish. Does he not have his own wish, or is he just a puppet voting how his family wants?

That's far too much sense for a post on this forum.

with a heavy heart i voted remain.

i am sad to say i have to think short term. as a business owner and with a young family its the short term that ultimately swayed my decision.

something i am not too happy about, but i felt i had no choice.

Huh, what's going on here? 354 votes - not a tiny number - and remain has a 7 percentage point advantage. On OcUK, where leave has been in the lead since day 1.

Is there a last-minute swing to remain? Do leave voters get up late?
