So let's stay (Letters to the Editor, Times)...

The big guns first their opening salvo and they have a right to be concerned. Can we add their vote to the poll...

I can't help noticing that two thirds of FTSE100 chiefs didn't put their name to that letter - the remain campaign were expecting half of them to. This should be seen as a marginal victory for the Leave campaign.

And companies looking after themselves  who would have guessed

Unpopular TTIP free trade deal to be rushed this year by EU negotiators and USA. I suspect that this has more to do with getting it done while Obama is still in office, but it worries me what the EU is going to agree and think we should be told before the referendum. Something tells me it's going to be very good for German exporters, not so good for everyone else. Why can't we have our own trade agreement with the USA, that works for Britain?

I hope that's not true. Good bye the NHS.

Who would have guessed that looking after themselves means looking after their employees, markets and jobs...

Certainly not me, these companies would have us believe that what's in their best interests is in our best interest but that's not always the case. I'm sure that all these people would be in favour of TTIP, which will be good for them, but not so good for us. Besides - not that many signed up to this letter, two thirds of Britain's top bosses didn't.

'Almost certainly'? Then other bold assertions...

Anything to back that up? Are you lying, or just thick? It's not all secret...

The information is available via that link... fill your boots.

I don't see the NHS mentioned.
"Ministers have admitted the NHS is still on the table as part of secretive talks over a controversial US-EU trade deal that could see it opened up to American corporations."

David Cameron has given his full backing to TTIP. Whether we're in or out of the EU makes no difference.

TTIP is a proposed secret deal between the EU and the USA, if we weren't in the EU then we wouldn't be covered by it and would be free to negotiate our own trading arrangements with the USA, which could include safeguards for the NHS. As it is, we don't know what we're signing up to because they won't tell us what's in it, we're just supposed to trust that the unelected EU officials will negotiate a good deal for Britain.

A quick straw poll around my office gives a 3:1 for an out vote (IT tech dept)

Most view the business letter as CEO's protecting their profits and we can all guess what the general consensus on CEO's and big business is at the moment

Like the Tories are going to negotiate a deal with the USA involving safeguards for the NHS :D

They are the advocates for getting rid of it and replacing with a private system.

Then tell me why the French has vetoed it(under EU rules) to protect their health system.

When the yanks did the same kind of deal with Canada, 1 million jobs was lost.

Because camoron is an Anglosphere globalist who has zero concerns for the down trodden in this country and a forlorn faith in neolibral policies that his yank bosses dgaf about because for them it's all about the US FREAKIN A.

Can't help but think that yesterday's commons debacle between Cameron and BoJo was completely unnecessary and petty. Having digs at a person's personal relationships is not on and I get the feeling it'll come back to bite CMD.

The cynic in me wonders if Dave's concerned about the long game and making sure he's got a cushy EU job after his PM term expires.
