In all honestly, i don't trust our own police force to protect us when it comes to gimmigants, the only way to protect ourselves is to not to be in the EU so they have no chance of getting in, even if they get passports in Europe.

What about the ones that are already here?

Health screening should be part of the immigration criteria, if he has a contagion then that's an instant rejection, again UKIP has been clear on this. Educated skilled immigration from India (GPs, Doctors etc) Will have a far lower chance of having such diseases anyway because they would have better living standards than India's poor. Regardless, they'll all should be tested

Why would a doctor from India come to the UK to pick fruit?

I hope that's not a serious question, that has already been discussed to absolute death in many threads, of course it'll up to PM and the one we have is wet fish but the alternative is a complete marxist lunatic so we'll need the PM in power to stop succumbing to populist left wing media pressure and do what he has been mandated to do and can immigration and get to the 10's of thousands like he promised in the first place, when out of the EU we can choose who can come in from anywhere in the world and set our criteria properly. Only UKIP at the moment is outspoken to how they would actually do it

You know it is actually the right wing that is most in favor of immigration. Much better for the UK economy, businesses have better access to a larger pool of workers. Reduced border control lowers government expenditure. Increasing population helps drive economic growth and raises GDP. Which is why extremely right wing governments like exists in current UK and US don't actually restrict immigration that much.

There is nothing particularly left wing about not minding immigration and enjoying the benefits. Its mostly just the xenophobes that are worried abut immigration.

It's not. There is healthy immigration, I.e letting in the people you need... And unhealthy immigration, I.e letting in the people you don't want.

What we have now is the latter. You can't ignore the fact that people want to come here, they are willing to walk across Europe and th Chunnel to get here.

We are in demand. They are not. We need to be able to choose who we want. We need to have the facility to do so.

Is it considered xenophobic to want to live mostly amongst people who share your cultural beliefs and speak your native language in public?

Wow. You are literally xenophobic, aren't you?

*Alert* Random left wing word of abuse for the day, and guess what? Nope, wrong

Why would a doctor from India come to the UK to pick fruit?

*sigh* It's like talking to a child, why wouldn't he fill one of the many GP places he has vacant

What about the ones that are already here?

If they're here illegally, fast track deport them without prejudice, none of this "you can't deport me because i have a cat and therefore right to family life" non-sense

I think you've mistaken those that want immigration for capitalist reasons as right-wing, i agree there would be an area of overlap on a Venn diagram but they don't necessary equate to one another.

On the contrary, with the history in this country, it's those on the left that want unfettered unregulated migration. I was reading somewhere about an Labour MP talking to Corbyn about Bradford and how it's more than half immigrants, Corbyn eyes lit up and said how wonderful all this multiculturalism and at that point he just couldn't understand the Labour MPs was trying to say to him that this was causing massive problems with social cohesion

You've just branded the vast majority of the UK as xenophobes, not that i care very much about the opinion of someone who lives comfortably away from all this in the US and doesn't have to face all the problems the EU is facing

I take it you've read b0redj0rd post? These are the people that in the thick of it and yet you'd brand them xenophobes, which is frankly disgraceful

I know and understand that fear, but it's only down to current tax law that they can avoid paying tax on UK profits. It wouldn't matter where they claimed to be head-quartered if this loophole was fixed.

Quite and that loop hole could be fixed quite easily.

You calculate the percentage of the total global revenue that was raised in the UK from 'Global Corp'. You then take their total global profits (before/minus all local taxes) and Global Corp pay 20% (or whatever corporation tax is at the time) of the former figure of the latter.

This would make the Starbucks scam of overcharging themselves for ingredients from the suppliers they own in the Caymen Islands (or whatever), to reduce the profit and hence the Corporation tax they paid pointless.

As for the argument that making them actually pay tax on real profit made in the UK encouraging them to pull their businesses out of here, well what kind of a idiotic business can't see that 80% of something is better than 100% of nothing?

Firstly, immigration doesn't change that at the very low levels the UK is seeing.

So if that is what your worried about then your opinion is based on xenophobia because it is based on an unfounded fear of foreigners.

If there suddenly was an extremely large mass immigration event (and no, the Syrian refugees don't count in the slightest here), then whether your opinion is xenophobic or not depends on the reasons for wanting live "mostly amongst people who share your cultural beliefs and speak your native language in public?"

Why is that important to you? Why does it matter to you what language people speak in public? Are you afraid of what they are saying,? Does it bother you that people have a different culture. Are you afraid that you will loose your own cultural values?

Depending on you reasons you may well be xenophobic

Blah blah blah

Don't you ever get sick of calling people xenophobic? because we're sick of hearing it, it's so overused and so drool that it's barely has any meaning anymore. I hope trump gets into power over where you are and spoils your day frankly

I've not made any mistake, I was simply correcting you, unless you want to completely ignore one of the biggest reasons for being right wing.

Bradford was built on immigration, it has long historic roots of using immigrant workforce for the textile factories. Without immigration Bradford would likely be just another small English village. In 1800 its population was 5K, by 1850 it was 100K of mostly immigrants working in the factories. After the 2dn world due to the difficulties in getting sufficient workforce form Europe Bradford look to the rest of the British empire in order to keep the factories running, importing a large workforce form Pakistan. Without those immigrants Bradford would be nothing.

Currently only about 4% of Bradford's Asian population are immigrants. The total imigrant population of Bradford is 17%, far below your ridiculous "s more than half immigrants".

The majority of the UK doesn't actually care at all about immigration. IF someone is xenophobic then i'm not going to lie and call them anything else. They should accept that fact instead of being ashamed about it. If you are afraid of foreigners "taking our jerrbs" and changing your perceived nationalistic cultural values then that is simply based on unfounded ideologies and is hence xenophobic.

I take it you've read b0redj0rd post? These are the people that in the thick of it and yet you'd brand them xenophobes, which is frankly disgraceful

b0redj0rd's has litle to do with immigration policy and a lot to do with foreign policy.
Leaving the EU wont change the situation in Calais at all.

If you don't want to be called xenophobic then don't make xenophobic comments. Simple, keep your opinions to yourself, everyone is sick of your disgusting verbal diarrhea.

wow, way to ignore the plight of those suffering under immigration policy of the EU, you haven't actually answered my question. have you watched the video? What do you think of the people suffering in Calais?

You can call you me xenophobic until you're blue in the face, it doesn't make me one and it will not kowtow me into keeping quite. A fair number here in the forums feel the same way as me so not everyone disagrees with me in the way i think, and to be frank you seems to have SJW mentality coupled with some form of delusion that everything is a-ok in the UK that disturbs me

Don't like what i say? You're more than welcome to use the ignore list

If I remember correctly Robgmun is married to an oriental, and has expressed his views fairly clearly and consistently on his desire for limited immigration.

He doesn't really strike me as someone as xenophobic...

You on the other hand consistently berate and name call people who don't agree with your view of tolerance.

Course, its easy for you to be wishy washy when you earn significantly above the average income and get to live far removed from the problems , far removed from the economic and social threat untapped immigration can cause.

I don't think you can divide people's political philosophy in two. I'd argue that being socially right/left wing and economically right/left wing aren't necessarily connected. You can can be socially right-wing but economically left-wing or vice versa.

Sorry for invoking Godwin's Law but take Adolf Hitler. Most people would say he was "right wing" but then he clearly wasn't the biggest fan of capitalism otherwise he wouldn't have killed 6 million Jews for being good at business and running banks or belonged to a party that gained office on socialist economic principles. He also aligned himself with communist regimes so he was clearly economically left-wing but socially extreme right.
