And i'm Colombian

Who's parents are immigrants

And apparently i'm xenophobic

You can call you me xenophobic until you're blue in the face, it doesn't make me one and it will not kowtow me into keeping quite. A fair number here in the forums feel the same way as me so not everyone disagrees with me in the way i think, and to be frank you seems to have SJW mentality coupled with some form of delusion that everything is a-ok in the UK that disturbs me

Don't like what i say? You're more than welcome to use the ignore list

You can deny being a xenophobe all you want, it doesn't stop you being one.
I never told you to be quite, you are free to make whatever comments you want, I was giving you advice because you seem angered at people calling you a xenophobe. Don't spread xenophobic opinions and the accusations will go away.

I'm not labeling you as a xenophobe to insult you, its just a description like, tall, short, rich, sporty. All your posts just fulfill exactly the definition of xenophobia, that is just the way it is I'm afraid. I don't blame you for having the opinions you have, just like I don't blame people for having an irrational fear of heights.

xen·o·pho·bi·a
ˌzenəˈfōbēə,ˌzēnəˈfōbēə/
noun
noun: xenophobia

intense or irrational dislike or fear of people from other countries.

Xenophobia can manifest itself in many ways involving the relations and perceptions of an ingroup towards an outgroup, including a fear of losing identity, suspicion of its activities, aggression, and desire to eliminate its presence to secure a presumed purity.
Sounds very familiar. i think it would only strengthen your argument if you came to terms with the fact.

And no, not everything is OK in the UK, but immigration is one of the least pressing issues. The unfounded fear of immigration is much more of a problem, and thats before we even tackle the big ones like the economy, rich-poor divide, NHS, foreign policy, climate change, etc.

I don't think you can divide people's political philosophy in two. I'd argue that being socially right/left wing and economically right/left wing aren't necessarily connected. You can can be socially right-wing but economically left-wing or vice versa.

Sorry for invoking Godwin's Law but take Adolf Hitler. Most people would say he was "right wing" but then he clearly wasn't the biggest fan of capitalism otherwise he wouldn't have killed 6 million Jews for being good at business and running banks or belonged to a party that gained office on socialist economic principles. He also aligned himself with communist regimes so he was clearly economically left-wing but socially extreme right.

I agree with you, but Rob was plane wrong to suggest it is only the left that appreciate immigration when its actually the economic right that appreciate immigration the most and the social left are not at all opposed to some forms of immigration control where it makes sense. The concerns of the social left surrounding unfounded scaremongering, fear and general xenophobia from the social right.

And you accuse me of verbal diarrhea? LOL! You can tell when you're reaching the end of the argument when you pull the Dictionary out :p

Sorry bud, it doesn't match your Dictionary definition. What else you got? The problem is, none of it is irrational. They have demonstrated behaviour that is unacceptable in this country and you accuse me of being xenophobic for not wanting it here, it just shows how broken you moral dial is

He doesn't really strike me as someone as xenophobic...

You on the other hand consistently berate and name call people who don't agree with your view of tolerance.

Course, its easy for you to be wishy washy when you earn significantly above the average income and get to live far removed from the problems , far removed from the economic and social threat untapped immigration can cause.

Rob's personal situation is irrelevant, I never bring it up or mention it. The opposite occurs, Rob continuously uses my personal situation as an attack against me.

I've not called anyone a name, unlike certain forum members who continuously use insulting labels such as "*******", "SJW", "loony left".

Can you provide any references to back up this statement:
"the economic and social threat untapped immigration can cause"

Your posts exactly my the dictionary definition. Marrying a foreigner doesn't change your ideology at all, that is the funny thing about irrational fears

Wow, you consider SJW an insult and yet you throw around xenophobie like confetti?

I can't carry on otherwise i'd get banned again :p

I don't think that definition describes robgmun. Especially after post #927. Has a strong opinion yes, just seems you to me you don't like his views.

Tell the people of Calais they're xenophobies, tell them it's irrational and all in their heads, go on...

Sorry to stir the pot with this bump but (I believe) this has only just been uploaded and is quite relevent <--deliberate typo

Rob continuously makes posts that show an unfounded fear of foreigners, even when presented with evidence to the contrary. He continually spreads lies about immigrants, e.g. that "over half of Bradford are immigrants" when the real value is 17%.

"In all honestly, i don't trust our own police force to protect us when it comes to gimmigants"

Comments like that are the very definition of xenophobia. Its an irrational fear of foreigners, nothing more, nothing less.

I don't like opinions that are based on prejudice, I don't care about the posters themselves but object to the spread of lies and misinformation that feeds further unfounded hatred.

Oh I dunno that it's unfounded. We've only ever been invaded by foreigners!

Calais has a genuine problem but it is a much more complex situation than you are letting on. IF you want to discuss Calais then one first has to realize how this crisis happened in the first place.

You will also have to adept that a vast majority of the refugees in Calais are peaceful, want to be productive tax-paying law-abiding citizens, and just want to make a new home for themselves.

Then sir...we concur :p

Since you've just pulled rob apart for his unfounded claims, do you have anything to back that up?

We ar enot about to be invaded.

Never said we were, just saying his fear is rational!
