From the Europe says No website.

You should probably try and read a few less biased sources.

Only one country has ever had a referendum on whether to leave Europe (the European Communities specifically) - Greenland. They voted to leave and did.

Norway has twice voted not to join; it hasn't joined.

Sweden and Denmark rejected the Euro in referenda - neither has since joined.

Ireland, Denmark, Holland and France are also democracies.

They are. In Denmark and Ireland, they obtained changes or assurances they desired and held new referenda where the people decided those changes were sufficient and changed their support.

In France, Sarkozy ran on a platform of renegotiating and then ratifying the treaty without a referendum and was democratically elected by the French on that basis.

Can you tell me what was changed in the Lisbon treaty for Ireland.
