Why? The EU migrant crisis showed the rest of Europe acting to assist while our government snivelled on the sidelines and bemoaned doing anything much to help. If anything it showed another example of how EU co-operation is needed to deal with these issues and national governments acting alone fail.

What exactly have the EU done. They appear to have crowded round the table a few times, had arguments, thrown insults at some countries and overall, done bugger all to resolve the situation.

As master plans go it's hardly a Professor Moriarty special.

Ah, they're using the UN model for fixing things.

That explains how they only make things worse.

Trying to find an interview which was on BBC, some silly cow saying every household benefits 3k a year by been in the EU.

I couldn't believe she actually said it with a straight face, of course she didn't go into specifics what this 3grand does or comes from.

If I had my way England would go solo, bin the Scots Welsh and Irish to, why cant my.country be just that

Way back in history when England was at war with Spain and France and well take your pick of world powers. England needed to ensure their enemies didn't gain influence in its back yard. Back then England's population was in proportion with that of the Irish, Scottish and Welch and not it's modern over populated mess. One can only imagine the world with a Russian naval base in Derry, Russian forces on the Scottish border and England fighting of an Islamist uprising.....;)

Visa free travel (for Turks, rather than for anyone from Turkey, presumably). Not free movement in the sense we know it when referring to EU free movement.

I suspected it was that.

No different then to British people travelling to the United States or Canada or Australia - we can do that VISA free, too. We still can't live or work there legally without a visa.

It genuinely scares me how little people bother to try and understand something before they allow it to influence their views. This is why the whole referendum is deeply worrying.

Did I say freedom of movement? I said Visa free travel.

This is incredibly misleading. You cannot compare Sweden's rape statistics vs ours as they don't show the same thing. This is due to Sweden's broad definition of rape and their crime recording standards. You would be comparing apples with oranges.

You can however compare the increase in reported rape against the increase in non white immigration, and surprise , the reported rapes show a proportional increase.

It would be nice to study the issue properly, but that would require the Swedish media and politicians to stop lying by omission about the issue. What information there is only leaks out via independent online bloggers

Pragmatically, it is kind of obvious that importing people from lawless and misogynist cultures would inevitably result in an increase in rapes. It is already a known issue within immigrant camps all over Europe.

Pretending that this isn't happening (because wha wha waycist) would appear to be a threat to women from every culture.
Putting political correctness above addressing the issue of female rape is intolerable IMO

On topic,
I'd prefer to stay in, but Junkers and muslim Merkel are clearly not listening to their own people, and are acting in a bizarrely reckless manner which has doomed all of Europe to decades of social disharmony.
(except Hungary of course, well done Viktor Orban)

A Europe without those two ******* clowns leading the EU would be a much safer place.

However, even if we did leave, I have no doubts that Cameron would continue to fudge the non European immigration issue and do absolutely nothing. He is terrified of upsetting any ethnic community in case he loses a single vote.

But it still is Visa free movement isn't it, would you read Visa free travel that way. It's interpretation I suppose

There is no real reason to object to visa free travel - it just makes coming here for a holiday and spending money easier.

Free movement is somewhat different - it allows the ability to live and work freely. Rather different, no?

Ill ask you again have i mentioned Turkey having freedom of movement ?

yes there is , it shows an acceleration of the the Turkish bid for EU membership and this is one step closer to it becoming a reality , although they will say security checks will be in place , what's stopping them flying to France and having free movement within the Schengen.
