I came from Facebook and spent the past 20 mins reading through the thread.
Heartwrenching stuff - as a 20 year old that has had family stuff (admittedly nothing as bad as this), I'm so happy to see that it has gotten better. I hope your daughter finds the university she wants as well, for me uni has been a massive life changing experience (for the better, after my earlier school years were very up-down).
I'll be donating some money to you, I'm not exactly rolling in the stuff as a student but I can't imagine how awful this whole experience was for you, even if the outcome has been great for you and your kids. I hope you guys have the most amazing Christmas together. I'd love to offer any advice on university if you or your daughter would like it.
