Let me explain it to you then
Just because junior formula drivers need to learn how to warm up / keep their tyres warm doesnt mean drivers at the pinacle need to prove they can do it too (without adversely wearing them out)
Just like EPL players learn different skills (like playing in a different area of the pitch) when they are younger, to make them an all round better player even if a year or two off they then focus on one set of skills. 9 times out of ten when a player gets int a decent team they dont have to prove they have played in a different area of the pitch to the one they are bought / transferred for.
(yes there are notable exceptions, but they are also pretty rare - and also like Henry at Arsenal who started off as a winger but "ended" up as an out an out striker - they are usually quite similar attributes).
Have they? There was me thinking that money was more important than skill and proven career path in F1. Anything that potentially puts distance between those who have bought their seat and those who are there on merit is a good thing IMO.
Thats why I said " NEARLY every" - as those who cant stand the heat rarely last very long
