The FA CUP Fourth Round 27/28/29 January *** Spoilers ****

Lots of sour grapes being eaten and some people can't take on the chin when they lose. Very unmanly and schoolboyish. All we need now is the sound of violins. :D

Wise words to go by, perhaps a quote is needed...

You lost, accept defeat with grace and don't start blubbering.

;) Just Joking Robbo :p

Booing is bad now?
Wow, no one cared when it was ashley cole, sol camp bell or Rooney at Goodison:D

Well done to Brighton!

A little lucky perhaps but we've only got ourselves to blame and we certainly didn't deserve to win.

What a lacklustre performance, we should have had it tied up before half time but no one seemed all that bothered about actually scoring!

What a lacklustre performance,

The whole game was really, I expected much more from Newcastle, they looked more dangerous than Brighton for most of the game but both teams seemed as if they were just 'going through the motions' so to speak(though that isn't surprising for Brighton by any means, they usually look really lazy)

Amoebi upfront, says it all really, the commentator might have a point that he wins a lot of headers.... but wins and uses those headers are not the same thing. You can't predict where he'll knock it on, he's more of a Crouch where the ball just bounces off him anywhere rather than can be relied on to knock it into a good place.

The one big thing I think Pardew/Ashley have gotten wrong is not having a 1-2 month transfer for just about any striker sorted and ready to be done for Jan 1st. There has to be at least a couple teams somewhere who have someone available for a month or two and no one is worse than Ameobi.

Should have asked Utd if they'd loan out Berbatov :p

Got to laugh at Smith though, off on loan for last 6 months of his deal, 60k a week, loan club are paying 2.5k a week, Newcastle paying him silly money still. How crap does Smith have to be that Ameobi gets a chance and he doesn't.

Rubbish tonight, shocking, horrific, disgraceful, abysmal downright awful!

Didn't look interested and I can only recall one chance that was decent (Best around the 10th minute) that's two **** performances on the bounce and shows we need to beef up the squad without a shadow of a doubt, we wont though

I'm annoyed as we could have had a good cup run this year but we have only ourselves to blame, season over then until next year now :p

9mil Cisse, arrives probably Monday? Also with Ba + Cisse back thats about, without exaggeration, eleventy billion percent improved upfront compared to that game?

:D

Simpson awful today.

Can't help thinking this is Pardew fault was being to smart with the formation try to get a draw or a sneaky win. Backfired again

Felt a bit ashamed today watching the football on TV. Why was Evra booed by some Liverpool fans for having the courage to not put up with racist abuse on the pitch? And why did ITV not have the courage to question the booing fans morality?

""I don't know how we lost it," the boss told MUTV and ITV1. "It was a really good performance from us.

"That can happen in the FA Cup though - you can have one bad break against you and you lose the game. It's a sudden death situation which we've experienced many times over the years and anything can happen. It's a bad blow though because we didn't deserve that.

"I'm pleased with my players. They performed very well, dominated the game and played good football," added Sir Alex. "They didn't deserve to be beaten at all. We maybe should have won the game - we were the better team."

I don't know how he can say that with a straight face, a really good performance? He's having a laugh.

He was boo'd because of the ugly, tribal nature of the average English football fan. The very thing which produces blind loyalty to anyone who wears their shirt, regardless of the actions of the player.
Sadly, every club has this (you just have to listen to the Chelsea support of JT for example  ) but regardless, these people are adults and if they can't put the importance of basic human respect to each other above that of their club, then it remains a pretty sad day for LFC.
Still, with neither player nor Manager responsible enough to have even apologised for the incident, the environment of hate which Evra was subjected too was always going to happen.
On a separate note, surely SAF has to look at his handling of the GK position. Imo it's been pretty shocking.
