The FA CUP Fourth Round 27/28/29 January *** Spoilers ****

I still remember the stuffing we gave Sheffield Utd, the performance was EPIC on every level, while it was only Sheffield that was a performance that would have battered almost any team. A manager who refuses to start players but wastes them in cup games he expects to lose anyway and/or doesn't care about rarely if ever means he'll start them in the league.

If he did think that, they would have made starts already. Think of Beckford, didn't matter if he scored, Moyes would drop him in a heartbeat, madness.

Which Sheffield United game are you talking about? I remember two decided by dodgy goals and one where you won on penalties after a replay. Every team plays well in Imaginationland DM.

I await being told I've completely misunderstood your post, somehow. :o

err, we thrashed them 6-2 or 6-3 in the cup(I think Song played hence the conceded :p ), and no dodgy goals at all, I think pretty much 1-2 out of this world goals and 3-4 excellently worked goals. It's Arsenal, the defence never looks much but our attack in that game was just truly awesome.

No, it was 6-0, think I'm also remember another 6-3 somewhere

Jesus though, time flies, I can't believe it was 2007-2008 that we lost 5-1 to Spurs in one cup and 4-0 to Utd a month later in the other one, honestly I can't believe it, feels like a couple years ago max.

Ah it was Carling Cup, I remember the Vela hat trick.

If your theory had anything to it then surely Richards & Lescott would have been boo'd on Wednesday as well as every other black player that's played at Anfield?

How on earth have you come to that conclusion? Last time I checked Lescott & Richards dont play for Man Utd and aren't team mates of the devil that is Patrice Evra.

And like I said there's plenty of supporters that represent Liverpool that have taken to the internet and thrown out racial abuse towards Evra so all I said was it isn't against the realms of possibility of them doing it from the terraces tomorrow as well. If Chelsea fans are capable of it why not Liverpool supporters?

Again though I'm not saying it will happen just that it could

Yup, it was actually epic, I know it was against a weaker team but you know when a team just plays that well you KNOW they'd have torn anyone a new one, then after that we didn't see Vela properly at all, almost zero starts, a few short sub appearances then nothing for ages.

That team was truly awesome, Vela, Bendtner(one of the only times in years he's been played in his favoured role AND we played 4-4-2 pretty much for the first and last time in ages), Wilshire was awesome(then didn't see him for 2 years) Merida was awesome(so basically never saw him again), Ramsey was great pre leg break and looked very good.

Gibbs looked good and first time we really saw him, barely been fit since.

That was one of those games you look back on as a fan and think, why did Wenger let half of them leave and why did he just not give the other half some real games to prove themselves.

Considering we were back to starting Denilson, Song and Walcott after that game..........

Tom, what you're saying makes no sense whatsoever. Liverpool fans are going to boo Utd's black players only because they're Evra's teammates? If that's the caes then they'll be booing all Utd's players. If they're only going to boo Utd's black players then it would be because they're racist, in which case why has it never happened before.

Any yes, there are plenty of idiot Liverpool fans, just like there are plenty of idiot Utd fans that aimed xenophobic abuse at Liverpool's Spanish players and Benitez in previous years.

I suppose you're right though, it could happen. 13,000 Liverpool fans dressed in monkey outfits could fill the Kop and hurl banana's at Evra too. Lets try and be realistic though.

Double figures? Really?

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/fo...s-Nemanja-Vidic-struggle-Fernando-Torres.html

So that is 4/5 he has either conceded against him/deserved a red card. (One even against 10 men, which was the most hilarious red card ever might I add.) He doesn't always struggle against him, although don't know why you think I form my opinion from the media lol, but he certainly does at times.

And he has played against you three times for Chelsea is it? Not even sure Vidic played in the most recent one where he actually looked very good bar the lolmiss.

Daily Fail at it's best that link, the 3-0 game by the way Vidic didn't even receive a caution so not sure how they've come to the conclusion that he should have been sent off. From the best I can see the games Vidic has come up against Torres;

Liverpool 0-1 Man Utd
Man Utd 3-0 Liverpool
Man Utd 1-4 Liverpool (Torres scores and Vidic gets a red Card for being last man on Gerrard)
Liverpool 2-0 Man Utd (Torres scores and Vidic gets two yellows, one on Torres the other on Kuyt)
Man Utd 2-1 Liverpool (Torres scores, Vidic gets a yellow card for a foul on Torres)
Man Utd 3-2 Liverpool
Chelsea 2-1 Man Utd
Chelsea 0-1 Man Utd
Man Utd 2-1 Chelsea
Man Utd 2-1 Chelsea

So exactly 10 games and Torres has only scored in 3 of them (I particularly liked the fact we played against him 6 times last season alone but Vidic didn't play in one of the games)

In total Torres currently stands at played 12 scored 4 (the other being the game you mentioned earlier this season when again Vidic didn't play)

this game is awful but why have we still got so many first choices on the pitch when we're playing on tuesday?

spurs just cleared off the line! last thing we need from this is a draw

I'd say the reason it's never happened before is fairly obvious, there's never been a game played just prior to a massive race row between the two clubs just like prior to this race row AFAIK there's never been any Liverpool supporters taking to the internet to throw racial slurs at Evra.

As for being realistic wasn't it just last month a supporter was arrested for a racial slur against an Oldham player? Personally I dont find it likely that any Liverpool supporter would be stupid enough in tomorrow of all games to throw the club they support into another racism row but then I'd never imagine some of the things I've read on twitter so who knows what could happen? I dont think anyone can categorically rule anything out.

Firstly, you shouldn't base an opinion of a group of people on a minority of idiots on twitter. If twitter is anything to go by then we should expect mass Hillsborough chants tomorrow.

Is it possible that the odd idiot might make a racist remark? Of course but that's not what you were suggesting could happen though. You were saying that it's realistic that Liverpool fans will collectively (or at least a large number of them) abuse all Utd's black players. I can safely say that won't happen. All Utd players will receive some abuse (like they always would have) and Evra will more than likely get more. Danny Welbeck or any other black Utd player will not get more abuse than any white Utd player though.
