The FA CUP Third Round - 7/8/9 January *** Spoilers ****

Yes he did :)

Also; we shouldn't let these sort of tackles 'go' or what not because they'll result in an increase of these tackles (on the basis players can 'get away' with them) and you'll see a higher chance of tackles like Ramsey et cetra.

He did in your opinion Tummy :p

He's used far less force than an awful lot of tackles we see, both in general and in that game alone.

And in the eyes of the official who sent him off :p

And Dermot (spelling) who said it was the correct decision.

Liverpool fan in disagreeing with FA decision shocker :p

There was more than enough force to do damage to the player, is that excessive?

Yep.

I personally wouldn't have thought so. Then again, it's funny how much bull in the media can often change certain decisions.

Double standards of you Man United fans is shocking

Remember this

Now flash forward to Rooney telling the ref it was a too footed tackled and something should be done about Kompany, Lets see two footed tackle or elbowing someone head

Rooney is a disgusting player, didnt even get a booking for it

Sammon got sent off form touching Carricks Face, Done with football me, especially top flight football

Still hurting over that are you cheetos :o

In what world is that relevant now anyway? Not one United fan would have argued Rooney being banned for that but hey ho you keep banging that drum eh ;)

Just pulling you lot up for what you are...

Watching the elbow incident (I wasn't watching the match at that point)

The Wigan player clearly moves in front of him to try and stop his run leaving Rooney to swerve past him. It's an arm rather than an elbow and doesn't look vicious at all.

I thought the one by the Marseille striker on Vidic midweek was far worse.

Did you actually see the Rooney incident? It was clear as day that the Wigan player was trying to block his run, he was hardly innocent in the whole thing

As for Gerrard, you're wrong he had no intention of heading the ball he just went it to do Welbeck

:p

Joke, run along to your living room and MUTV subscription

And I stand by what I said, doesn't mean I disagree that Rooney did him, deserved to be sent off and subsequently banned for 3 games

Do you not get bored pulling the I go to every game and you dont line? :o

With a capital A no less!

I don't understand what Rooney elbowing someone months ago has to do with it

It has already been said that two wrongs do not make a right, it is fruitless to come up with an argument based on what a player has done in the past.

Now who is being relevant? Certainly not you.

Try to keep up, my post wasn't even about the tackle, your post was about Rooney's reaction being bad enough to tell you how bad it was, AND that Rooney isn't one to complain. My post was entirely based on those two facts, using a recent game where Rooney beyond what I've seen anyone do before complained about every minor little thing like someone on his team had been murdered.

If you can't see the relevance there I really don't know. When I point this out to you, you suddenly go off on a completely different tangent about the tackle..... which in regards to you having a go at me over one post....... wasn't even being talked about. The post was entirely about how Rooney reacts to things.

So what are you even entering a discussion about the tackle for?

Did I state anywhere in my post that Rooney isn't one to complain? Or are you just making things up to get your point across, which I still don't fully understand.

Your point isn't relevant at all - read back where I wrote what the conversation might be if that is indeed the way that the referee saw it. Is it ok not to card someone because it was Wayne Rooney who appealed? In the past he's appealed for a throw in that wasn't theirs so he's obviously a liar.

"Ref, that's a 2 footed lunge, send him off"

"No Mr Rooney, you're a naughty lad, you threw a right temper tantrum in the last game so I'm not going to listen to you"

Do you really think that's what referee's do?

I didn't go off on a tangent about the tackle, it is what is being discussed in the thread, is this where you're struggling to join in because you have the wrong end of the stick?

I didn't have a go at you, I just pointed out an observation I had made whilst browsing the boards, can you honestly say you talk sense in most of your posts? I must have misinterpreted when people have dismissed you in the past. Apologies.
