Well, bought a few items form the Superdry Ebay store and received them today... got to say that for the money the stuff is really awesome quality, and the best thing is where I live Superdry is non-chavvy, expensive, and not common to see.

I bought:

Superdry Patrol HD Jacket (was £65 when I bought it, and actually costs £230 over here believe it or not) http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/300843641...eName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1439.l2649

Superdry Officer Denim Slim Jeans AH (£27.99) http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/300854403...eName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1439.l2649 and in this colour http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/400402724...eName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1439.l2649

Jacket looks pretty damn cool, is very warm, and the jeans also fit perfectly. And you can feel that it's really good quality stuff, very well engineeered as far as clothing even in the rrp price range... and for the money I got them it's a bargain. Will buy a couple more pairs of jeans i normal fit too I think. :)

Well, I am now starting to wonder if I should be getting into the Chinos look... something about them appeals to me all of a sudden.

Anyone else wear chinos, and any tips on pulling them off and best colours to get?

Yep chinos are awesome. I've got a few sandy coloured ones. Purple is good too.

Anyone got any recommendations for colourful standard jumpers (not v-neck). I've looked around but can't seem to find anything! Preferably machine washable and I like bright colours so green/blue/pink whatever. :)

You need to wear pumps or espadrilles with them and definitely not trainers.

Quite difficult to find non-v neck colourful jumpers I have to say

As for chinos, agree with Sponge. Also wear my sandy ones with blue suede "chukka boots".

H&M and TK Maxx.

TK Maxx ones are amazing quality for the price, the merino wool ones aren't machine washable though.

OK, Summer is coming and I am about to embrace the world of Chinos, Can someone please recommend me a brand that:

  • Not too baggy and not too slim on a 30R size. Just a nice straight fit.
  • Good quality.
  • Don't cost over £50.
:)

I ventured into the world of chinos a couple of months back. I bought a pair of sandy coloured ones from Next £35, but I got the straight slimmer version... none of these carrot tapered or cuffed stuff. I wear them with a pair of black high tops as I am not a smart shoe person.

I just ordered a pair from Superdry, and a pair from ASOS:

Superdry Chinos in cream/beige http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/300875707...eName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1439.l2649

ASOS CHinos in Navy: http://www.asos.com//Asos/Asos-Slim-Chino/Prod/pgeproduct.aspx?iid=2236797

I was also looking at these peter Werth Sweeney slip-Ons and I think they'd be perfect for Chinos http://www.asos.com/pgeproduct.aspx?iid=2728120

Good prices! I dont think I am a fan of the loafers tbh, especially when wearing without socks as they stink up the shoe. Have you thought of a pair of brogues at all? I like brogues but they are not my style so I went half way and got these...

Ted Baker Greco Brown: http://www.branch309.co.uk/mens-Bro.../6102276020/?gclid=CLKFiuqPjrYCFVDMtAodhlwAFg

I am thinking I might get some navy chinos now :D

mm, problem with Brogues is that they are not a comfy summer shoe... they are a little formal and stiff in terms of material. What I like about loafers is they are soft and slip on and off really easily.

Regarding Chinos, just saw that Next also have an awesome range in terms of colour and fit, and very good prices! http://www.next.co.uk/men/trousers-collection/chinos/1

I am tempted by the Next ones, think I'll go for navy and see what happens from there.

Didn't want to be the chino guy!

I didn't want to be either, but it also shows how we are sometimes self-programmed to think certain ways about how we associate clothes with ourselves. I have now had a good look at the many examples of guys chino outfits and I have to say... there are some very cool looking and classic styles. Looking forward to trying them out. :)

That's not really 'bright' in my books, more pastel. :p I ended up getting a really nice jumper from Hackett in the end. Not cheap though!

TK Maxx really stresses me out so I tend to avoid it. I know they have good stuff in there, it's just a bit of a nightmare! :p

Hmm, Superdry have some good fitting chinos. Can sometimes get decent ones in urban outfitters. My nicest ones are Ted Baker (but they are over £50).
