The Fashion Thread... personal tastes, musings, and recommendations

Your also not technically supposed to wash them for several months after buying them, just 'air' them. Sounds a little too far for me, I'm sure they look superb on though.

Don't people do this any way? I wash my jeans maybe every 3 or 4 months, I always thought they didn't need washing as often as other clothing.

Im surrounded by vagrants :p I realised it was something people did but I didnt realise it was so common. Regardless of how clean they look and smell they still have as much sweat etc in as any other fabric you might be wearing.

I just wash my jeans regularly, then replace them if they become rubbish .

I use to do this, then realized that they just looked naff/worn out after a few months. I can't wear cheap jeans, the fit is awful unless you have tree trunk legs. Levi 501's etc seem to fit best for straight leg, and not too expensive at £50-70 a pair.

The irony of that statement being you can easily get good jeans for £30-£50 (I never buy at rrp prices)... I still have pairs of Firetrap/Diesel etc that look awesome even after 5 years.

with raw and selvedge jeans you want to get the unique wear and fade that you wearing them results in. Washing them will put an end to this so best avoided.

Air them out and your sorted :D

All Saints have a few bits of nice stuff on sale now:

--------------------------------

Canyon Duffle Coat
for £125... pure wool and decent styling although I would prefer the wool to go all the way up the jacket instead of running into the waxed cotton at the top. Still... 100% wool, and looks like usual All Saints quality. http://www.allsaints.com/men/coats/allsaints-canyon-duffle-coat/?colour=7&category=116

---------------------------------

Apex Coat for £175... 95% wool, 5% Cashmere http://www.allsaints.com/men/coats/allsaints-apex-coat/?colour=360&category=116

Too wide fitting for me but still quality stuff if you have a wider frame.

---------------------------------

Still not enough stuff with decent reductions though. :(
