** THE FIRST FREESYNC MONITOR ARRIVES AT OcUK!! **

The monumental number of 3 gifs, your having a laff now or kidding yourself that I'm in your league?

Your only 2 posts off equalling my monumental total post count of 22 in the ramgate thread and we're only hours into the missing sink debacle.:D

PMSL.

The thing with me is I like to discuss tech. You go around trolling and baiting without ever getting into the discussion at hand. It is pathetic. You wait in the wings to pick people up with your trolling. Maybe start joining in discussions and you might find you enjoy that more rather than what you currently do.

Sure I can be mischievous and sometime do have a dig but I mean no offence to anyone and I certainly don't give a hoot who runs what, I only want what they run to run well.

Now if you want to discuss the tech/monitor, here is my thoughts... I want people to have the A-Sync tech running like I have, as I feel it is fantastic and you get to see what your eyes have accepted (tearing) or literally don't get to see it :D Games do run smoother and have far less judder than what we knew before. AMD will have this sorted (eventually) and they will have it running well. At least the guys who have this monitor are Freesync Ready™ and are bang on it when it is finally out.

Yeah still selling well even with warning, end of the day the technology will come and it works, it was demoed heavily enough at CES.

I think just shy of 50 units shipped now, though a university took 20 units, seems these days at Uni they must just be playing games. :D

I thought students just drank tins of Kestrel and ate baked beans all day....I am getting old :D And absolutely the tech will come and will run as it should. From a personal perspective of someone who runs a ROG Swift monitor, I can't big this tech up enough and would hate to go back to normal gaming monitors now.

No one can argue with that comment :D

Do you like it? I know you can't use G-Sync but it is the best monitor I have owned, regardless of that feature. It did need some tweaking out the box but Andybird put up what he uses and that has made a massive difference to the brightness that it is defaulted at.

Because the native source will never be higher than 60Hz. You'll introduce more crap/frames as the monitor needs to fill that refresh rate with something.

Never had issue am sure VLC player auto sets the frame rate to standard 24hz though. After check

Anyway youtube and video play back hasn't changed for me anyway. Would you like some recording on phone or something later?

My first post in this thread:

Looking forward to seeing some user reviews from you guys :)

My second post in this thread:

Quite surprised there has not been any reviewers with one yet. Any thoughts on why not?

My third post in this thread:

Yer agreed. Reviewers get one early, they give the plus points and this in turn entices the potential customers.

My forth post in this thread:

The first rule about Crossfire is you don't talk about Crossfire

jokes before anyone takes it the wrong way. :D

Looking forward to seeing your review bud

So you are now resorting to not only stalking me but telling lies as well....

If you want a real laugh, read back through the previous Freesync threads at what people were saying...

A few people saying the omega driver had the feature already.

Honestly the best monitor ive owned. The build quality is perfect, just circumstances lead me to the 295X2 (I think if i'd have had 980SLI i wouldn't have upgraded)

I haven't tweaked the colours or anything, would love to make it look better if i can, any recommendations? :)

Get it sold and purchase one of these!

It may have to be done :) I think i will wait until more choices come available may even drive the price down some more :P

Nice  What colours I have will be different for you, as they are set in the nVidia CP :(

brightness on the monitor will be a function of room lighting, I run mine on about 40-50
colours you might need to adjust slightly, use a website like lagom or just a plain grey full screen, mine needed something like red to 95 as grey had a slightly pink tinge out of the box

the main thing is, in the GPU control panel, nudge the gamma down slightly, default is 1.0 on nvidia cards and I run it at about 0.92
