** THE FIRST FREESYNC MONITOR ARRIVES AT OcUK!! **

If nVidia did that to me, I would be going mad on their forums....)
I think anybody would, if they paid the extra for the feature...

Well, at least the arrival of Freesync (which people didn't have to pay for) is just a matter of "when" rather than "if", the same cannot be said the missing full speed memory (which people paid for) that is NEVER going to arrive on the 970 :p

The laughable part is Freesync monitors run better on nVidia hardware :D

Is it AMDs fault that 144hz 1440p doesn't work?

That wasn't what I was asked. And yes 144hz is AMD's fault.

Are you paid by AMD Shanks? Genuine question and fair play if you are.

Nope
Am just telling it how it is. Even Gibbo has said if you care to read the thread. He got these very early.
Can you buy this monitor from anywhere else right now? I don't believe you can, because it's not supposed to be out yet.

it wouldn't be that much of a big deal mildly bumpy product launches happen all the time.
Actually you do have a point. Take the 960 launch for example, it gotten lots of sticks (from everyone and myself included) mainly due to it being overpriced at £170+...now that it's price has settled down to around £150 at the lowest, it doesn't seem "as bad" as before.

There's another place with stock of free sync monitors

Also.
I'm pretty sure we kept getting told that the monitors were nothing to do with AMD.

Now all of a sudden it is.

Logically, a vendor can launch an adaptive sync monitor whenever they wanted to.

It's the AMD part that isn't ready /out.

Either way am happy.. All that matters enjoy the rest your day..

I'll post my findings once Freesync is released. Atm I'll just enjoy what I have and it's quite nice upgrade to what I was using.

1440p is very nice wasn't expecting this much of detail.

The fact that i will be updated within the next month or two is good, i would see it as a good improvement over 1080P now, with the free sync been the added bonus then :D

That's one preception I see from some people that I cannot understand- it is a MONITOR...and what has AMD vs Nvidia gotta do with it, unless AMD actually charged a price premium for Freesync like Nvidia did for Gsync?

Freesync (adaptive-sync) monitors, are not "AMD monitor"...they are essentially just open standard sync monitor, why would you find it funny that Nvidia cards run better on it outside of the use of sync? It is still just a "regular monitor", with adaptive sync as bonus...

Ease up tiger, I thought we were having some banter. Neither of us have the monitor, so no loss/gain for either of us.

What does that have to do with Freesync, AMD or this particular monitor? Now you see why I thought we was having some banter.

Lol greg, you deserve a moment of glory after ramgate, but ironic that you argued with many an unhappy Nvidia owner that there was no problem with their purchase yet a happy BenQ owner should get stick?

By all means have a pop at AMD, let the owners decide with their feet.
