The first "proper" Kepler news Fri 17th Feb?

So my new list about the full fat GK104:
1.)Faster than an HD7970
2.)New magic Bios improves performance by 40% on top of existing performance
3.)Consumes less power than an HD7970
4.)Has a smaller die
5.)Has 2GB or 4GB of VRAM
6.)Can use system RAM
7.)Shorter PCB than a GTX570
8.)Is only $299
9.)Has backlit GEFORCE GTX logo on the top of the card
10.)Is the PhysX MASTER
 
One bios had dodgy turbo control while the other doesn't?
For that kind of increase something was not running correctly.

edit- Not that I think that either performance range which they allude to is factual.

Kyle from [H] got the fact wrong that GTX 680 will be slower than Radeon HD 7970 in 3DMark 11. I think Kyle later soon will finish upcoming GTX 680 review got the impression that GTX 680 is faster than Radeon HD 7970 and will switch to GTX 680 from Radeon HD 7970.

PHK got the first benchmark numbers in for 3DMark11 confirmed GTX 680 will be faster than Radeon HD 7970.

680-> X3200~3300
(7970)-> X2700~2800
670Ti -> X2500~2600
(7950) -> X2200~2300

PHK also mentioned that GTX 680 has max TDP 195W and fan will have low noise.

4 or 5 wishes correct, 3 or 4 wishes possible, 2 wishes almost certainly not.

Nothing I didn't know really. It *has* to be faster than the 7970 or it simply won't sell.

What's hilarious is their thunder will last about a week before AMD come right back at them. So I hope they've kept something in the tank to respond with, and I hope that people who are waiting for Kepler wait until Kepler MKII or like initial 7970 owners they will lose a chunk of cash (if that bothers them of course).

At least now we know it's going to be really really expensive.
