US: The Flash (2014)

One thing that would really bug me if Jay is the man in the mask is that he didn't simply spell out 'I am Jay'. It's three extra letters, it wouldn't have taken them all that long to work it out. I don't mind when writers do some slightly unbelievable things to fit a story or hide a reveal, but that would be doing the audience a disservice.

I am now thinking its not Jay in the mask or he would have said "I'm Jay" I am betting on Eddie or maybe Eobard and the reason he is in the room is because Zoom has already taken his speed like Eobard tried to do to Barry on Earth1.

But still loving it. Watched the last episode of the first season again last night. That's some great TV. :)

Problem with that is, Zoom doesn't know how to take speedforce from people. That's why he needed Wells to figure out how to steal the Flash's speed for him.

Otherwise he'd have stolen it the second after he dragged Barry from one end of the city to the other and beat seven shades out of him. Or after he locked him in the glass cage...

Ah but what I meant was that he can naturally take it from his doppelgänger if they are in contact but wanted to get Barry's speed force as an alternative.

Watched the latest episode again, still fantastic and I loved Barry's speech at the end. Oh and a few great comic book pics in slowmo with King shark in the water and when Barry threw his lightning! Great comic book inspired scenes.

I like this, but every episode is the same, there's a new baddie, Barry struggles, someone comes out with "You can do it, Barry. Just believe, go faster." That's it, baddie defeated. I don't know what I want but there has to be something better than that all the time.

On a different note, that bit with Caitlyn messing with Crisco was hilarious :D

Yeah I understand what you are saying but he is still learning hence his mistakes and greenness at times. He has only been the flash for a year and still no where near finding the limits of his power!

3 weeks :'(

Good new episode.

Missed a couple of minutes in the middle and I'm guessing they probably didn't address this but I'll ask: Did they actually explain why the time travel seems to work differently depending on the needs of the plot? This time he exists separately to past Barry just like in the first season finale but other times (the weather wizard and Arrow team up one) he takes the place of past Barry?

They've never explained it as far as I remember.

Likely it is contrived script writing, but it could be that the two times you mention only involved going back a few hours/days rather than months/years.

If I were to fan **** an explanation it would be that in both the weather wizard and Arrow one he wasn't really intending to go back in time he was just running really fast away from danger and it happened whereas the others he specifically set out to travel in time, but it would be nice if they'd lay down some rules for their own universe.

I don't understand why Barry and co all hate Jay so much? Zoom killed Jay but zoom is jay...but isn't. So why do they hate the guy that was hanging with them for so long?

Because all Cisco told them was that Jay was Zoom based on him having a vibe of the moment Zoom unmasked and have taken it as gospel, they don't know that there's at least two Teddy Sears faced characters in play like we've seen.
