US: The Flash (2014)

That became a problem once they ended up on different networks though, plus that whole Superman already exists and has been active for years thing doesn't particularly mesh well with the Arrowverse, I'd imagine if the CW hadn't passed on it we'd be looking at quite a different show.

I do hope going forward that they'll be a bit more open to cross overs though, especially since it did decent numbers.

The crossover did that thing again, where it airs first before its own individual episode.
The Flash had his gadget in the Supergirl, but was only learning about it in The Flash :p.

Barry was consistently stupid in the past as well (I can live with it, because Barry is dumb, consistently)

The Jay stuff is..... Iffy.

Because all Cisco told them was that Jay was Zoom based on him having a vibe of the moment Zoom unmasked and have taken it as gospel, they don't know that there's at least two Teddy Sears faced characters in play like we've seen.

Yeah but they saw their Jay get killed right in front of them...something doesn't add up! Unless I'm being dumb.

I know it still doesn't make sense, I'm just pointing out that they're taking Cisco's vibe as being infallible. Barry and Harry were literally stood in front of Zoom on Earth 2 while everyone else was with Jay on Earth 1 and still they're treating it as this complete truth.

Preview for the next episode, it's ridiculously spoilery on the subject on zoom so watch at your own risk.

I'm a big enough man to admit I was wrong and it appears Hex was right. I'm still very shocked they gave the game away that early with the name drop though.

Still think there's more to this mess than meets the eye though considering we had Zoom on Earth 2 with Barry while the rest of the team was with Jay.

Enjoyed that episode but my God it was filled with some real clangers!

The biggest one for me is, if Jay is Zoom why hasn't he just killed Barry when he wasn't expecting it? He could get him on his own, murder him when his back is turned, hide him somewhere and then go through all the rest of the team one by one. That wouldn't make for a TV series though.

I'm just wondering how many times they are going to recycle the whole

Barry loses his speed

thing. I mean there are only so many times they can do it, and it's pretty unoriginal, especially to do it multiple times in the same season.

I get that there will be people that can negate it, or slow him down, but it's not the most original way to handcuff the character.

TBH the whole flash concept is a bit errrr limited. I mean come on the guy can run fast and.... errr ... emmm. yeah run fast.

Since the start its always been "I need to go faster", but half the time he's up against people who are human speed yet he has to run rings around them several times before he gets a pep talk from starlabs then just does what we've all been screaming him to do.

then when he faces the main guy its more like a "tag your it" contest. Massive let down...

Not really sure how I feel on this one, I like a good twist but this is bordering on a Russo-swerve. Feels like they worked backwards from how to trick the audience so we've ended up with a motivation of "I did for the evul lulz"

I assume its a set up.... If not then Barry should just give up the Hero business now.

Starting to wonder if the man in the iron Mask is actually Earth 2 Barry rather than the reel Earth 2 Jay, maybe they are going down the road of there not ever having been a Jay at all, that would be a annoying!

We already saw Earth 2 Barry while whoever that is was in the cage though.

But I'm sure we can write around that by explaining it was a timeshifted duplicate of Bart Allen disguised as Barry who agreed to die to further a plot that doesn't really make any sense.

Oh yes good point. :)

Fingers crossed it is the real Jay then, would be annoying if there wasn't a Jay at all.

That episode had the most dumb plan of all time. First he captures zoom, fair enough well played. But then he talks him to death so much he escapes, shocker.
Then the 'trade' for Wally. After zoom handed him over Barry could have just kicked his ass again as he's still 'faster' which is apparently all that matters. But no he hands over his speed without any effort to do anything else instead.
As someone said, it better be a setup of some kind.
