US: The Flash (2014)

at the end, "it's making me stronger"

Yeah it looks like it, can just about get if the floor and sounds like he's smoked several packs inserted if just the 2.
 
God I can barely remember....

  • Main antagonist is The Thinker
  • He's really smart :p and has a floating wheelchair
  • Collects powers like Sylar
  • Team Flash make awful decisions
  • The Thinker's master plan is to dumb everyone down/reset
  • Throughout the season we get snippets of a young mixed raced girl watching/interacting with Team Flash
  • They defeat The Thinker with the help of XS, the girl turns out to be Barry/Iris' daughter :eek:
  • Their efforts saving the city/defeating The Thinker creates shards of dark matter around the city, causing a new wave of metas
 
Pretty much checked on the show as a whole but I'll admit I loved the crossover episode, plenty of fanservice, loved those barbs between Barry and Ollie.

Only things I didn't like was I wished they held the title card until later on so we could have Ollie do the Flash intro like Barry did the Arrow one and the use of the Smallville theme.
 
The crossover episodes have been good so far, though as someone who hasn't watched Arrow for a long time and only ever saw the first couple of episodes of Supergirl I feel like some of it is wasted on me. The little jokes and comments between Barry, Kara and Oliver have been funny. I particularly liked the references to Barry always needing a pep talk and how loads of those pep talks occur in the hallway of Starlabs after someone has stormed out of the control room.

Just catching up with The Flash. Not seen the crossover yet, but the previous week's time travel episode, while fun, still confuses the hell out of me.
Like Cicada is SO POWERFUL that Barry has to risk time travel again to defeat him.

I'm just not seeing any threat from Cicada. Only the usual threat from team Flash's incompetence.

I guess it all boils down to the inconsistency in Flash's speed yet again.
Run so fast that even lightning stands still, punch Cicada in the face, deposit him in the pipeline.
Done !!

Can't disagree with any of that, yet I still tune in every week...
 
Even taking the excuse that Barry loses his speed in the presence of that fancy dagger I can't excuse the incompetence in the time travel episode.

We know for a fact at least one alternate Earth is just an irradiated wasteland, the nuclear guys burn off was sent there last season so when the fancy plan comes together Cisco breaches said dagger to space rather than an alternate Earth, specifically that alternate Earth?

I checked out at the end of last season, I only came back for the anniversary episode and the crossover, and nothing I saw in the anniversary episode made me think I made the wrong decision.
