I think maybe I missed the explanation/intro but what on earth was the Citroen piece at the end? Was that not one of the biggest waste of times they've ever done?

That confused me as well but I haven't heard anyone else mention it so thought I was having a dim moment lol.

I think it was just returning to type, on old Top Gear, they'd frequently have a section where they pretend to read a letter out which normally goes 'Dear top so called gear, why do you never review normal cars' and ends up like this:

Have you not watched Top Gear/Grand Tour before? Was this your first episode?

I've been watching for about 8-10 years... Most things they do have humour. This did not. If not humour, it's actually interesting. This was not. Last grasp, the item might be useful. This was not.

The Citroen was the whole Nr Needem review segment. With the focus on the beach landing and the Clio jumping off a ferry ramp

Anyone that gave up on Top Gear in recent years... I'd recommend the last episode (aired on Sunday). It's like they finally found the formula. Not quite the original trio but it was quite refreshing.

(Yes, there's a top gear thread but I think a fair few people have given up on it and may not read the thread)

Unpopular opinion, but I agree. A fair episode I thought, gave a few chuckles. First time there seemed to be a genuine "chemistry" between presenters where they just feel like mates dicking around. Did laugh when Matt pushed Chris through the pit wall :D

That said, this season of TGT was also much improved, and just felt like Top Gear on a different channel, so it still seems to eclipse new TG somewhat.

Agree with many of the above comments

TGT feels much better this season, some worse than others but overall entertaining and something I will watch the whole way.

I no longer really enjoy TG, it just doesnt work for me and I end up skipping most of it :(

You're joking aren't you?

I've religiously watched every single episode of Top gear from back in 2002/3 right up until this Sunday's, and honestly, this sunday, i turned it off after 15 minutes, more rehashed garbage from the old episodes of Top gear, can you buy a luxury car for the price of a cheap cr, yep, done it before, endurance race participation, again, done it before. This episode is by far, the worst episode of Top Gear EVER!

(I'll still watch next sundays ep though if i can tolerate it.)

I dont remember the last time I laughed to the point of hurting at that bently after the first run.

Then the bit where he got pushed through a wall at silverstone.

Was brilliant.
