The GTX 980 Ti owners thread.

My EVGA bridge arrived, and it does light up with my reference EVGA SC cards.
It's a darn shame NVIDIA hasn't seen fit to sell their sexy bridge outside of North America. Only things missing now is that NV bridge, and 3rd 980Ti

Wow hope my setup doesn't require that kind of fan RPM. Two ACX SC on a Maximus Hero VII in a H440 case. Hopefully if I take the front panel off I can get away with a 50-60% fan profile.

"Hi,

at those who have the EVGA GTX 980 TI SC ACX 2.0: Can you tell me please which temperature you reach at 100% fan and 100% GPU load? Is the card then loud?"

"I have two of those. They are pretty loud actually. 100% is obnoxiously loud and you would never want that for extended periods. Over 70% starts to get really noticeable. With 1 card and fans at 70% you are looking at temps in the 69- 72 range at max load. Honestly Id personally go for a different card if I could do it again. Maybe the Windforce or wait for others."

I hope you have a better experience with the ACX 2.0.

Looks like everyone's getting their cards :D

Me included

Not good... I'll report tomorrow as well. Honestly, silence is an absolute must for me.

Definitely not ideal in sli, particularly on a mobo with a one slot gap. I found the wf cooler started to get noticeable once the fan hit 65%. Custom fan profile of a 1-1 setting, highest temp I ever got on the top card was 85c. Bottom one never once above 65c.

Wow hope my setup doesn't require that kind of fan RPM. Two ACX SC on a Maximus Hero VII in a H440 case. Hopefully if I take the front panel off I can get away with a 50-60% fan profile.

1-1 fan profile would be way too crazy for me, especially with temps still going to 75+.

Will find out tomorrow.

Ouch, 85 on the top card is 1 degree hotter than my Reference cooler. I'd say if you had a double spaced gap between the cards the top one's temps would be much lower.

Has it affected the mobo and CPU temps as well?

My GTX 980 ACX SC at 1500mhz was around 75 degrees at a 40% fixed fan profile. I don't put too much weight on the above.

Cards are coming tomorrow will know on Wednesday when I have a chance to put them in.

If the 980ti is anything like the TX, which it is, you aren't going to get silence under load on air. Some cards will be less audible than others but all models will be audible unless your room is 16c.

My 780 had a windforce on it and I never heard it... Maybe, once in a blue moon it started to spin up but it was more rushing air than fan noise.
