The GTX Titan X owners thread.

1080p 60hz Boom?

Yep, seems like overkill. I've got no plans to go back to high res for a while..

I'd it's worth keeping for GTAV and FarCry4. At least until the 980Ti comes out.

Yeah maybe should just hang on a bit longer. I guess I'm going to lose money when I sell it either way, so I may as well enjoy it until newer stuff comes out. Oh well a bit of overkill till then doesn't hurt I guess :p

Stop using 8XMSAA and GTA won't use 8GB. I can barely get it to use over 4GB with 4XMSAA at 1440p.

It's possible to bring a lot of AAA games to their knees if you set out to try. Anyone worth their salt knows anti aliasing is a killer, people should be more interested in what LOD texture fidelity is possible with reasonable settings.

6GB is still capable of driving 4K without much if any grievance, but I'll await your next example Kaap lol.

Turning up extended distance scaling and you can top 4GB easy even without AA.

I've got a 4k TV in the lounge connected to my TitanX's

I mostly game from the sofa, but sometimes I use my office chair and sit much closer to the screen.

4k is more noticeable in games than movies. Probably because there aren't really any 4k content movies.

I gamed on a Samsung SUHD 65'' 4K today at 3ft away, it was BRILLIANT.... i was quite shocked because i thought it would look dreadful

it fills your whole vision yes, but because it's so sharp and detailed it looks ok...but to be really sure i'd drop down to 40'' to 50'' at 4K, because that vast size might end up bothering you at only 3ft..

the trouble is that 65'' screen on 1080p at 9.5 ft away suddenly looks a bit poor, this is because it's upscaling 1080p to 4K and thus it looks a bit blurry.

Just checked my card was £889.99 on launch day.

Really thinking I don't need this much power for 1080P, it made sense at 1440P because I couldn't fit two cards in my Mini-ITX, but at 1080P..

Sell now, buy something cheaper later on. Tempted..

no not at all, because with you, you're just looking for an excuse to buy another card aren't you ;)..........the TX is perfectly ok at 1080p, it's just a bit too noisy.

if there is any upgrade needed, it is a cheap 4k tv that will serve as a gaming monitor................uuuuuuuuuuuuumm

The EVGA v2 bridges aren't available yet ;)

My case has no window... so I don't get to see the silly stickers... they did make me giggle a little bit though... epic branding job /not

Plan on moving to a custom watercooling setup in future... will be getting a new case to go with it. Just won't be a while yet as I have other priorities... like holiday and maybe motorbike :p

Nice! :p

On a side note, the first thing I done with my Gigabyte card was to remove that horrid Gigabyte sticker. I say remove...it kind of fell off when I touched it anyway

I was just going to post, no offence to any Gigabyte TX owners, but that sticker looks tacky and spoils the clean looks of the cooler.
