The GTX Titan X owners thread.

It's fun to see kingpin push the boundaries with the card but I doubt anyone bases purchasing decisions on what he does anymore. The process seems to be a) go through 50+ cards to find a top bin b) solder a load of additional PCB to said card c) use custom bios and software nobody else has d) pour ln2 over it

It's a great promotional thing but I would be more impressed if he did a water run before ln2.

1250-1350 looks like the norm on air, 1400-1550mhz with modded bios for bench runs. I'm killing time basically till mine ships. Only thing that I'm concerned with is temps, but I will see how it fares with my case and fan setup "soon"™ .

Think the only thing that will change my mind now is how well people report the TX deals with heat/noise, water not being an option right now :(

I will be running air aswell and 2 or 3 down the road. Crossing fingers for under 80c OCed in SLI, third card might not be needed even for 4K.

Wow, just had a reply in customer service forum telling me that no manufacturer allows cooler removal. I don't want to bu a pre watercooled card as I will need to run it in living room pc for time being so require the stock cooler, but to then not have option of fitting a block myself as I have done loads of times without voiding the warranty on a nearly £1k part.... Tempted to just keep the money in my pocket tbh! :/

That can't be right... I thought EVGA and MSI did?

Also, 02/04 now? And it's loud, hot AND whines despite them claiming to have used whine-free components... come on AMD show your hand.

TBF, Gibbo MAY have been doing his best salesman pitch as he pointed me in the direction of the ocuk TechLabs version with block pre-fitted. Unfortunately, this isn't suitable as I like the versatility of having the stock cooler should I decide to change up and run it in a different rig etc.
